The holidays have officially arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with beautiful decorations, character cruises, and gorgeous nighttime projections.

There are always new things to discover in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! This week we wandered through the newly re-opened Tree of Life Garden, enjoyed cupcakes as well as some Tasting Sampler treats that are sticking around, found a spot serving Irish Coffee, and spotted new Lion King Family Pride shirts for the whole family!

Now that the Otter Grotto is open, the Tree of Life Garden paths are completely open again, too; they were blocked during the refurbishment of the Otter Grotto. We enjoyed a walk along the garden path on our visit.

The traditional British Pub, located on the edge of the lagoon in Epcot’s UK Pavilion, offers an authentic experience for lunch, dinner, and drinks.
It had been a while since I’d visited the Rose and Crown; so on a recent trip my husband and I made an advance dining reservation and headed over. This is the spot to find comfort food, and I have fond memories of dining here with my parents and older brother back when you had to make your reservations via the World Key kiosks when you arrived at Epcot!
Let’s take a little tour before settling down to eat.
Like any good British pub, the Rose and Crown anchors the little “village” we know as the UK Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. It’s the first structure you come to on your left as you exit the Canada Pavilion.

The Rose and Crown actually offers a couple of different service options. You can head into the Pub and order a pint or anything else from their full bar as well as a few “pub grub” food items, or you can dine at their table service restaurant. Recently, we heard that Epcot’s Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room had undergone yet another menu change. You’ll remember that the Rose and Crown menu went through an overhaul last Spring, and this year there are a few more changes and updates.
I boycotted last year after they took away the Roast Dinner and Yorkshire Pudding, but I figured it was time to throw in the towel and head back for another visit! 😉
We’ll highlight some of the menu changes in a bit, but first let’s take a look around and get a feel for this cozy spot.
Step up to the Rose and Crown, and you’ll experience some of Disney’s most authentic themeing. This place truly does feel like it’s on the corner of the High Street in an English town — at least in my experience!
Here, you’ll find a pub fronting the establishment, and a full restaurant in the back. You can stop into the pub for a simple menu (like the English Bulldog and Scotch Eggs we highlighted previously…be still my heart), or choose the restaurant for a more robust meal.

To the side of the entrance, you’ll find the dining check-in area as well as a kiosk to get a draft beer as you’re passing by.

Head into the pub area and you’re treated to an authentic set-up complete with a few pub tables and seating. Order your eats and drinks from the bar here.

My husband Rory and I recently had the opportunity to enjoy the “Tables in Wonderland” special event dinner at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney. We have dined at Raglan Road many times and were eager to meet Chef Kevin Dundon as well as sample the evening’s special cuisine.
Atmosphere
A back room in the restaurant was set up exclusively for the event, with flowers and candles on the tables, and about 60 people in attendance. We were seated at a table for six and dined with two local Orlando couples. We are annual passholders and travel to Orlando several times a year, and we very much enjoyed the company and conversation at our table. Each place setting had a menu tied with a flower and a signed copy of Chef Dundon’s cookbook, Great Family Food
