It’s enough to make your head spin just thinking about all of the big changes we’ll be seeing, including a new nighttime parade, a new Zootopia show, a new Villains show, and more. Then there’s ALL the construction for the big Magic Kingdom Cars expansion and new Villains land PLUS the construction for the Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios PLUS even more construction on Animal Kingdom’s new land, Pueblo Esperanza. However, we also got some big news drops about Disney World hotels and this news could change your next Disney World stay.

Aloha! The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has officially opened!

Disney World’s newest resort is a new Disney Vacation Club addition next to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Previously, it was home to the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, which closed in March of 2020. This new hotel is home to stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon, has a Moana-themed splash pad, and a brand new restaurant! While all of this is super exciting, unfortunately, this new hotel is not all that it seems, as we have some bad news about the Island Tower.

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property offers several different room types to sleep anywhere from two to nine people. It opened on December 17th, and sits on Seven Seas Lagoon, where it offers great views of Magic Kingdom. Just how great are those views? This new tower is a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property, but ANYONE can book a stay here. There are plenty of new experiences to enjoy, including a new pool and a restaurant called Wailulu Bar & Grill, but one of the things we’re happiest to see is something that has been closed for a while now has officially REOPENED.
