Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is about to have a brand new set of Disney Vacation Club (DVC) rooms! Construction is well underway at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. In fact, it’s currently set to open next month! But, as exciting as it is to have something new to experience at Disney World, some fans have a few concerns about what changes the Island Tower might bring.

For a while now, we’ve been watching construction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where a new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tower is being built. The Island Tower is set to open in December with new dining, entertainment, and hotel rooms, and we can’t wait!

Two Game-changing Disney Announcements for December

It is hard to believe that we are under two months away from December.

December is almost here!

It has been a busy year for Disney World and the Walt Disney Company in general. Within this year, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the new Country Bear Jamboree opened in Magic Kingdom. The EPCOT Transformation was officially marked complete when CommuniCore Hall and Plaza opened. At D23, we got the announcement that eight new rides would make their way to Disney World. Genie+ changed to Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, and Individual Lightning Lane changed to Lightning Lane Single Pass at both Disney World and Disneyland. We even got word that four more cruise ships would be joining the Disney Cruise Line line-up, making for a total of 13 ships in the fleet by 2031. It is crazy to look back on all that happened this year, but there is still more to come! Get ready for these two game-changers that will be coming this December!

We’ve been tracking the progress of the latest expansion to Disney World hotel offerings and the Disney Vacation Club community for months. Our excitement grew even more when Disney gave us a sneak peek at what these rooms will look like inside and they’ve already announced when this new addition will officially open! However, one big question we were left with was WHEN current and potential DVC members would be able to purchase and book this new tower addition and it seems as if finally have some answers!
