You’re traveling the World Showcase at Walt Disney World’s Epcot, and you need some Tiramisu. Trust us, we know the feeling. 😉 Head on over to the Italy Pavilion, and pony up to the Via Napoli Donkey Cart.

, how do I love thee? Shall we count the ways?
Seriously, I would, but it would take too long. Since this Table Service restaurant opened in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion seven years ago, I’ve been among its biggest fans. I love the decor, with those massive pizza ovens named for Italian volcanoes, the huge open space with arches and chandeliers, and the colorful frescoes on the walls and ceilings.
Oh, and did I mention there’s PIZZA involved, too? Via Napoli easily tops my list for serving up the Best Pizza in Disney World. It’s pretty much become one of those spots I visit whenever I have an excuse to do so.
On my most recent visit, we started with a couple of drinks. And there is no shortage of options at Via Napoli. There are cocktails, signature drinks, and, of course, lots of vino.
Before a recent visit to Via Napoli in Epcot for a pizza, my husband and I had a few spare minutes before our Advance Dining Reservation. We decided to spend that extra time in La Bottega Italiana, one of the Italy Pavilion’s shops, where I happened upon some fun kitchen gear and other Italia-themed merchandise.

It had been a while since I’d popped in this particular store, so I’m not sure how long these have been around, but what stood out to me right away was this fun apron featuring Mickey formed out of various pasta shapes. [Read more…]

We have a couple of updates to report regarding Epcot’s World Showcase Wine Walk. For those unfamiliar with this lesser-known Epcot experience, here is a brief rundown (read about the experience in full here). Cupcakes at the Gelato Kiosk… “Huh?”
That’s what I said when I saw the new Cannoli Cupcake on the menu at the Gelato stand located in Epcot’s Italy.
This simple kiosk (located on your left when coming from Germany, just before entering the heart of the Italy Pavilion), is covered with a pastel-hued awning with nary a sign other than the menu to encourage your visit.
But it’s home to some downright impressive — and highly overlooked — items, especially when it comes to its “Gelato Creations,” like the Coppa Delizia and Espresso Affogato. So anytime I notice anything new on the menu here, it’s an automatic must-try for me.
When I read the name “Cannoli Cupcake,” my thoughts first went to the Tiramisu Cupcake at Captain Cook’s. You know, your regular cupcake incorporating the basic flavors of a classic Italian dessert.

Fans of Epcot’s Italy Pavilion can take advantage of a new menu offering this Summer. As temps heat up, Tutto Italia Ristorante, Italy’s traditional table service restaurant, is adding a prix fixe lunch option.
The price for the three-course meal will be $27, and will include your choice of soft drink or iced tea as well.

We are big fans of Epcot around here, just like you are. It may not be the original Disney World Park, but it holds a charm that few other spots in the Disney universe can. After all, walking around there feels like you’ve stepped into the dreams of Walt Disney himself. It didn’t start life as the Experimental Prototype City Of Tomorrow for nothing!

Sometimes, friends, it’s best to look before you buy…
Case in point: I’ve always enjoyed spying this charming snack cart hosted by Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion whenever it comes out (sometimes it’s tucked away in less busy seasons). It’s affectionately known as the “Donkey Cart,” ‘cuz… well, DONKEY!
