Many people, us included, are big fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
Jack Sparrow
We also love riding the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney World and Disneyland whenever we get the chance. The star of the series is Johnny Depp, who, as you probably remember, played the famous Captain Jack Sparrow. It’s been a while since Jack Sparrow’s last on-screen appearance, but now it seems Depp would be willing to return to Disney if the time is right.
Captain Jack Sparrow is absolutely iconic, there’s no doubt about that!

He is the heart and soul of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, largely due to Johnny Depp’s portrayal of the character. This lead to a large film franchise and him being added into the famous ride at the Disney parks. But, what if someone else had played Jack Sparrow? Well, that almost happened, and you’ll never guess which famous actor turned down the role!
Is it just us, or is Disney World increasingly looking more and more like one giant Disney movie?

Sure, Disney movies have ALWAYS had a significant presence in the parks, but over the years, it seems slowly but surely that more Disney movies have popped up in the parks in all kinds of ways!

Just like us, they like to visit Disney World with their families and enjoy a little magic from time to time. Whether they’re there for work or pleasure, it can be a little challenging to spot them if you’re not looking in the right places — the parks are pretty big, and usually, these people are just trying to blend into the crowd. But don’t worry, if you’re looking to find some famous people, there are a few places where you can always find them in the Disney World parks!

There are several quotes from Walt Disney himself that illustrate the value the company places on progress and innovation. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that many attractions throughout the Disney theme parks — even some of the most iconic ones — have undergone some pretty significant changes over time.

Disney has been releasing Ride & Learn Videos for some of our favorite attractions. Lately, we’ve Dashed along with Slinky Dog at Hollywood Studios and chased down Jack Jack with the Incredibles at California Adventure.
We’ll be honest, there were a few modifications we were already a feeling a little apprehensive about before we arrived at Magic Kingdom yesterday.

One of the biggest changes we were having a hard time wrapping our heads around was the new Character Cavalcades at Disney World. A while ago, Disney told us they would be replacing their standard entertainment offerings with these unscheduled performances since character meet and greets, parades, and firework shows will be returning at a later time.
Psst! Avast there! It be too late to alter course, mateys—and there be plunderin’ pirates lurkin’ in every cove, waitin’ to board.
