If you are heading to EPCOT soon, make sure you have a Park Pass reservation.
EPCOT
Every guest needs a park reservation in addition to their ticket to enter a Disney World park. This change came after the closure of Disney World in 2020 and has remained in place. While the reservation system is set to change in January 2024, you must still make a reservation for now. This is important to make your reservations ahead of time as some parks can fill up or “sell out.”

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is a NEW walk-through experience that is set to open this fall in EPCOT. Disney has been hosting Cast Member previews of the attraction, and we took you with us on a FULL walk-through of the entire thing. But now you could get the chance to experience it for yourself if you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder.
Disney World is constantly changing, which means there is often a new or updated snack, attraction, or experience in the works at any given time.

As fun as these experiences can be, a lot of these changes aren’t for everyone. Whether guests prefer a ride that existed before its replacement (like The Great Movie Ride turning into Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway) or just think something could have been done better, Disney’s decisions aren’t always popular. In EPCOT, the new Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction has yet to officially open, but it’s already a bit controversial.

Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana
The new Moana-inspired attraction in EPCOT — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana — is set to open in the fall of 2023. We’ve been not-so-patiently waiting for it to arrive, but we were lucky enough to attend a Cast Member preview! We had a ton of fun walking through this exploration trail and playing with the living water — you can read all about our experience here.
