Disneyland is officially reopening TOMORROW!
While we’ve shared that plenty of rides are reopening with the parks, a few of ’em are remaining closed. One of those is the Jungle Cruise, which is undergoing a retheme on both the east and west coasts! While Disney World’s Jungle Cruise is remaining open throughout the changes, the Disneyland version will stay closed. But now, when know WHEN it’ll welcome guests back on board!
The classic Jungle Cruise attraction in both Disney World and Disneyland is getting a re-theme that includes new characters, a new storyline, added depth to its backstory, new scenes, and more!
In Disney World, the ride is staying open while these changes are being made. So far, we’ve seen the Trader Sam animatronic removed (and a new scene announced), part of another scene taken out, and some more changes. Today we rode the ride and saw that ANOTHER thing has gone missing!

ICYMI, the Jungle Cruise in Disneyland and Disney World is getting a fresh new look!
Earlier this year, Disney announced that changes were coming to the ride on both coasts. We’d see a new storyline, new characters, and more! Magic Kingdom’s Jungle Cruise is remaining open throughout the retheme, giving us the opportunity to spot changes as they’re made to the attraction. And now, we have a peek at what’s coming!
We spend a LOT of time in The Most Magical Place on Earth.
It’s so that we can bring YOU all of the latest news from Disney World! Of course, we’ve visited Magic Kingdom a few times this week and now we’re bringing you the latest in construction, and merchandise!
ICYMI, Disney is redoing Jungle Cruise at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and giving this iconic, pun-filled boat ride a BRAND NEW storyline with new characters and scenes to replace some culturally insensitive depictions.
There’s an interesting part of this reimagining, however. Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom is going to STAY OPEN, so we’ve gotten some insight on how this ride is being altered! So far, we’ve seen some BIG changes (goodbye, Trader Sam!) and some more subtle changes.
Disneyland has announced a lot of details about the reopening of the theme parks.
We know a lot more about the return of ticket sales, dining, and attractions. Now, we’ve got a full list of the attractions coming to Disneyland Resort. Several attractions WON’T be reopening with the parks — and one, in particular, caught our eye.
It’s kind of a weird time for Disney World right now.
As you can imagine there are LOTS of upcoming offerings that we’re excited about, from attractions to restaurants and everything in between. At the same time, we haven’t had any big NEW announcements in a while. So, there’s only so much we know about the next few years in Disney World. What can we expect for the years to come?
We see plenty of our favorite Disney World attractions undergo refurbishments, whether the changes are big or small. (Still waiting on you, PeopleMover…)
We already know that spots like Splash Mountain will be getting a MASSIVE Princess and the Frog update. And, not too long ago, we learned that the classic Jungle Cruise ride would even be getting some updates of its own! There will be new characters and scenes popping up soon, and we’ve got some good news for everyone heading to Disney World over the next several months!

There are lots of changes coming to the Disney parks in 2021!
It’s Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, so we’ll get mini-transformations at each of the 4 parks to mark the occasion. Plus, on the big birthday, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open in EPCOT! But that’s not all: sometime in 2021, the iconic Jungle Cruise ride is due for a reimagining.
