We’re back with ANOTHER update on the Jungle Cruise!
In case ya missed it, the Jungle Cruise in both Disney World and Disneyland is getting a pretty extensive reimagining. And while the Disneyland ride is temporarily closed for the project, the Magic Kingdom version is staying OPEN! That means we’ve been hopping aboard constantly to bring you the latest progress. And today, we spotted another change.
You’ve heard of the Jungle Cruise, you’ve heard of the backside of water, but have you heard of Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen!? That’s right! We’re bringing you a review from the punniest and most adventurous restaurant in Magic Kingdom.
We’re headed over to Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland to try out a restaurant we’ll be calling Skipper Canteen for this review (since that full name is SUPER lengthy). This is the only table service restaurant in Adventureland and easily the home of most of the more interesting meals that you can find in Magic Kingdom. We love this restaurant and think it’s a rock-solid addition to Magic Kingdom, yet many guests take it for granite. It’s definitely one of the boulder choices for dining in Disney World’s original park. (We should apologize now: buckle up — it’s gonna be a lot of Jungle Cruise jokes!)
ICYMI: the Jungle Cruise is undergoing a pretty big reimagining!
We’re seeing a hefty retheme — including a new storyline! — debut on both coasts for this classic attraction, and we’ve been closely following the progress. In Magic Kingdom, that means hoppin’ aboard the ride (which is remaining open throughout the project) to see what’s new. And today, we spotted somethin’ a little different!
Another week has gone by and, as usual, more BIG Disney news has been shared!
From changes made to distancing signage to Jungle Cruise ride updates and important info for those hoping to go to Disneyland soon, we’re breaking down all of this week’s big stories right here!

Disney World is undergoing quite a few changes!
One of those is the reimagining of the Jungle Cruise — and we’ve been keeping a close eye on this project! The work is expected to wrap up this summer, but the ride is OPEN in the meantime. That means we’re constantly hoppin’ aboard to see what’s new.
We have had to wait VERY patiently for some of the upcoming Disney movies.
One of those movies is Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt. This movie, based on the classic Disney parks attraction, was originally set to release in the summer of 2020. Now, the film will drop in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 30th — and we’ve got a NEW trailer!
The Jungle Cruise is undergoing quite the transformation in both Disney World and Disneyland.
While the Disney World ride has remained open during its re-theming, the Disneyland ride has been closed. Disney had already shared that the Disneyland version would reopen this summer and we knew that the changes at Disney World would take place over the next several months. But, now Disney has shared some BIG updates in terms of when this ride’s transformation on both coasts will be complete!
You can’t believe everything that you hear about Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom was the first Walt Disney World park to open, making it an iconic focal point of the Resort. But over the course of its nearly 50-year history, some misconceptions about the park have popped up. Let’s take a look at — and debunk — some absolute lies about Magic Kingdom!
We’ve got exciting Disney movie news!
You may have heard ALL about the changes coming to the Jungle Cruise rides in Disney World and Disneyland, but did you remember there’s a MOVIE coming out, too? The film was originally supposed to release in summer 2020, but got delayed due to the pandemic. But now, we’ve got an exciting update!
