Animal Kingdom
The potential power outages closed down a LOT of rides this week, but it didn’t seem to mess with the wait times too much! We did see the reopening of the Single Rider Line on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run this week but as of writing, the Single Rider line is still closed for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, and Test Track.
Remember, there are NOT any Fast Passes in Disney right now, and we have no word on when they’ll be coming back. So, everyyyyone has to wait in the standby line. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the average wait times for all of the rides in Disney World this week!
When visiting Disney World, one thing you definitely want to be aware of is wait times!

We’re constantly on the My Disney Experience app to check the stand-by wait times for rides (we need to know the SECOND Splash Mountain drops under 30 minutes!), especially because there still aren’t any Fast Passes in Disney World! There are attractions that almost always have really long waits, like Flight of Passage and Slinky Dog Dash, and those that you can usually walk on, like the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. Let’s take a look at all the average wait times around Disney World this week!
Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of ride closures in Disney World!
The PeopleMover was closed for a LONG time!
There are the typical ones, where rides close for weather-related issues or to get a routine refurbishment. But, we’ve also seen rides close for more unusual reasons, like lightning strikes or because a family of ducks decided to move in. Today, several rides closed down in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a very unexpected reason!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom was the last park to open in Disney World back in 1998 — a piece of Disney trivia that ALWAYS makes us feel old (that was 23 years ago!!).
