You might not want to hear it, but Disney World is lying to you. 😱
They’re not doing it explicitly, but there are definitely some implied “facts” that Disney wants you to believe. You don’t have to believe them though, and knowing the truth could actually save you some money (or maybe prevent a little heartache). That’s why we’re exposing a few of the biggest lies now! If you pay THOUSANDS for an exclusive Disney World experience, you’d probably want that to include some line skipping abilities, right? Well, if you pay for one very pricey and exclusive experience, you’ll get just that.
We’re just a month away from the grand opening of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (a.k.a. the Star Wars hotel!) This hotel is less of a lodging situation, and more of an immersive cruise-type experience. Guests will stay for 2 nights in the Starcruiser, and we recently saw the itinerary of everything that you’ll get to do when you visit! One part of the adventure includes an excursion to Hollywood Studios, and while there the Star Wars hotel guests will get one special perk!

Disney Genie and Genie+ launched in Disney World back in 2021, bringing big changes to the way we plan for (and budget) our days in the parks. Disney Genie is a complimentary service located within My Disney Experience, providing guests with customized itineraries based on real-time data and personal preferences.
Genie+, on the other hand, is a PAID service that replaced what used to be known as FastPass+. The days of booking a return time for your favorite ride at no additional cost are behind us, and guests must now purchase Genie+ if they want to experience an expedited wait.
Disney Genie+ and Individual Attraction Selection (a.k.a. Pay Per Ride) has been in place at Disney World and Disneyland Resort for some time now.
We’ve made our way to the parks on both coasts to test out the new paid FastPass+ replacement systems and see just how they work. In essence, the idea behind both Genie+ and Individual Attraction Selection is that guests pay a certain amount to skip the standby lines at the specified attractions and thus get to ride their favorite attractions with a shorter wait. But can Lightning Lanes (the lanes used to help Genie+ and Pay Per Ride skip the standby waits) actually be LONGER than the standby lines? Here’s what we’ve seen.
In October of 2021, Disney introduced Disney Genie and Genie+, a new way of navigating the Disney Parks. The Genie+ service is $15 a day and allows you to reserve a spot in the Lightning Lane of specific attractions. Disney Genie is the free version that can assist with your day by recommending rides, restaurants, and more!
With any change that comes to the Disney parks, there are gonna be people who love it, and people who hate it (as well as a couple people who don’t really have a strong opinion on it, but for the most part, Disney fans are pretty passionate. We saw what happened with the Figment buckets.) If you have thoughts on Genie+ that you need the Disney execs to hear RIGHT NOW, then you’re in luck! [Read more…]
Not too long ago, Disney World debuted its newest ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
The ride is part of an addition to the France Pavilion, and from its opening day, guests had to obtain boarding passes for a virtual queue to ride it. However, we recently learned that the ride would soon go to a standby-only queue, and the day is now here. Today is the first day of Remy’s having a regular line, so come with us to check out the new process!
Disney World has so much going on in 2022 (and that’s putting it lightly), so in order to do everything you want, you’ll need to plan properly!
If you haven’t visited since the parks reopened in the summer of 2020 — a lot has changed. We’re in the midst of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, with new experiences like the Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant in Toy Story Land opening in 2022, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind launching May 27, 2022!
It’s almost 2022, and at the end of year many of us take the time to reflect on the past year.
2021 was a huge year in Disney news, from announcements about the loss of free perks, to the Disney Genie, to the new Annual Passholder system, and even more. We’re breaking down 2021 for you with the biggest news from each month, so take a look!
Ahh, Disney Genie+, the paid version of FastPass that is taking Disneyland Resort and Disney World by storm, leaving some guests overwhelmed and confused.
The new system has multiple parts, different prices for different options, and a set of rules that you’ll have to learn in order to use it effectively. However, when used properly, it could likely save you a good bit of time during your day at the parks. So how is it on the most crowded days of the year? Does it still work? Is it worth it? We tested it out in Disney World.
