Disney World has been getting ready to debut a NEW way to use MagicBands — MagicBand+! This new system introduces effects that weren’t possible with the previous generation of MagicBands, like allowing guests to interact with the 50th Anniversary statues around the parks and turning Galaxy’s Edge into an interactive bounty hunting game. Although a few MagicBand+ bands were accidentally released early, Disney still hasn’t announced when the system will officially roll out in the parks.

Even though there’s a new generation of MagicBands on the way, we’re still finding plenty of the OG bands throughout the parks! Remember that you can continue to use the old MagicBands (or your phone) as your park ticket and hotel room key, even when MagicBand+ arrives.
