If Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Expansion Doesn’t Include This Amazing Restaurant, We’re Not Going

Big things are happening at the Magic Kingdom soon and the possibilities of what those changes can bring could be endless!

Back in 2022 at the D23 Expo (Disney’s fan convention), Disney announced that an expansion would be coming to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World using the term “Beyond Big Thunder” which is now commonly used to refer to said expansion. Focusing on using a space that is currently on the other side of the park’s railroad tracks, this expansion would add a new land with experiences and attractions themed after some modern and classic favorites. Some of those experiences could also be new restaurants and we have some that we would LOVE to see added and if we don’t get at least one…well, let’s just say our foodie hearts would be broken.

The fan expo draws crowds from all over the world and features appearances from Disney execs, celebrities, Imagineers, and more as the company dishes on upcoming entertainment, theme park developments, and more. This event sheds a ton of light on Disney’s plans and, with Disneyland Resort’s expansion already in its infancy, we’re curious to learn more about a different expansion at Disney World. 4 Important Announcements Were MISSING from Disney’s BIG News Drop

April 3rd, 2024, was a BIG day for the Walt Disney Company. The Annual Shareholder Meeting took place, where shareholders voted to elect Disney’s full slate of 12 board directors (against the Trian Group’s and Blackwell’s recommendations). But the election was only one part of this major meeting — we also got some pretty big updates from Disney executives like CEO Bob Iger!

We heard more about the new Moana 2 movie that’s coming out in November, got a sneak peek at the concept art for a possible Pandora land coming to Disneyland, and even learned that ESPN has secured NCAA football playoff rights through the 2031-2042 season (talk about planning ahead). The company is planning on spending a WHOPPING $60 billion to expand the Parks, Experiences, and Products segment of the company. Although some of that money will go towards expanding Disney Cruise Line and other products, a LOT of that will also go to expanding its theme parks, with many projects already underway.
