It’s almost time to ring in the new year in Disney World!
If you’re looking for more to do in Magic Kingdom then get your special New Year’s Magic Shot, Magic Kingdom will be closing later than usual at 1AM on both December 30th and the 31st, and now we just noticed that a number of restaurants will be closing later than usual!
Raise your hand if you’re a big fan of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! This HEAVILY-themed (and discreetly concealed) bar has become VERY popular among Disney fans, and even more so since it reopened in July 2021.
After it reopened, it even had a virtual queue for a while. However, now if you want to get in, you’ll need to head to Trader Sam’s to put your name on the walk-up waitlist. You’ll get a text when you can get in — IF you can get in, that is. So where do you go if you can’t get in but still want a similar experience? Today we’re sharing some places you should definitely check out if you’re a lover of Trader Sam’s!

At first, not very many restaurants were open, causing Mobile Order wait times to rise and windows to get backed up. Then, we had issues finding places to eat later in the evening, because several spots closed before the park did. But as more restaurants reopen, it helps to alleviate those problems, and now it looks like one of our favorites could come back soon!
Heading to Magic Kingdom soon and have NO IDEA where to eat? We got you covered!

We’ve been enjoying May the 4th today, but there’s LOTS more going on around Disney World!
Magic Kingdom is undergoing a mini-transformation for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, from Cinderella Castle’s new look to other subtle changes around the park. And near Main Street, U.S.A., The Plaza Restaurant is getting some changes, too!

It’s been a busy day in Magic Kingdom, and we’re stopping for a quick bite!
While far from authentic Italian, Pinocchio Village Haus is a great place to eat if you’re in the mood for a carb overload. From pizza to pasta to bread, they’ve got it ALL. And now, we’re here to try a returning menu item.
