But the new addition of MagicBand+ in Disney World has brought even more immersion and interactions to the parks. Your accessory will work in sync with nighttime shows, allow you to seek virtual bounties, and interact with statues. MagicBand+ Is Now In Disney World — Come With Us to See It In Action!

MagicBand+ — the next generation of MagicBands — is officially arriving in Disney World tomorrow. But even if you won’t be in the parks, you can get one of the new MagicBands at Disney’s online store, shopDisney. And now we know WHEN those bands will be available.

MagicBand+ bands will have all the same features as normal MagicBands, plus a few new features like being able to interact with the gold 50th Anniversary statues around Disney World. MagicBands may be getting a major update soon but you don’t HAVE to make the upgrade to the new MagicBand+. In fact, there are suddenly a bunch of new classic MagicBands selections to choose from.

MagicBands are a wearable technology that connect to the My Disney Experience app, and as long as you have an account and set up all your experiences, you can access your theme park tickets, Annual Pass, Disney World hotel, credit card, and more. We’ve been watching construction progress on things like Roundup Rodeo BBQ and the TRON coaster, as well as following progress on the EPCOT transformation. Besides those projects, we’re also expecting some new tech soon, including the Hey Disney! virtual assistant in hotel rooms and the brand new MagicBand+. We’ve been waiting to get more news on MagicBand+ specifically, and now we’ve got a BIG update!
