At the start of 2021, Disney World stopped sending free MagicBands to their on-site resort guests. Those guests would now need to either reuse an old MagicBand or purchase a new one, either online ahead of their vacation or at one of the gift shops in Disney World.
Since then, Disney World launched MagicMobile, a new way of using your smart phone for park admission, FastPass+ redemption (when available), and (eventually) as a payment method. With your phone essentially acting as a MagicBand, and a revamped MagicBand+ on the way, is it time to toss all of those old wearable devices in the trash?
