Another
movie trailer? Disney keeps bestowing these gifts on us, and it isn’t even our birthday!
After the release of the first teaser trailer of Mulan, we’re really hyped for the live-action films coming to the big screen soon. It’s no wonder that Disney is keeping the spinning wheel rolling as they let the official Maleficent: Mistress of Evil trailer fly into view TODAY.
We went over to Uptown Jewelers today to check out a laundry list of Pandora charms. Some are brand new, some have been around for a while, but all of them deserve a place in the spotlight.
From classic Disney villains, to Up, the Lion King, and Forever Friends charms, these are simply to precious to handle.
Hello from a chilly Magic Kingdom! We found some rarely-seen characters, celebration sweets, St. Patrick’s Day Mickeys, new Funko Pops, and more!
Look who we saw this week as part of the Mickey and Minnie Surprise Celebration visits from rarely-seen-in-the-parks characters — that’s Robin Hood and Little John!
It’s an unforgettable moment when the Maleficent dragon float breathes fire during Disney World’s Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom.
However, it’s a moment that many guests have missed over the past several months, as the float was removed from the parade in May of 2018 after an unfortunate incident when the float caught fire during the parade. (No Cast Members or guests were harmed during the incident.)
But as of TODAY Maleficent will make her return to the Festival of Fantasy Parade! According to Disney, “While she still has her same Steampunk style and signature wicked smile, the Maleficent dragon will be sporting a refreshed look, enhanced with new safety features designed to keep her in check.” [Read more…]
Halloween is HERE!
No matter what the actual calendar says 😉 , the Disney Parks on both coasts are already celebrating the most epic Halloween ever — especially when measured in Seasonal and Spookerrific eats!
We recently checked out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, so today we’re kickin’ it west coast style.
And Disneyland is killin’ it this year! Take a spook… I mean, a LOOK!
They’ve introduced a super cool Halloween overlay in Cars Land that we can NOT get enough of!
The Halloween-ization of Cars Land is just… well, look for yourself. [Read more…]
Are you ready for some Club Villain Thrills?! DFB welcomes guest author AM Appleby with a review of Club Villain at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let’s take a look at this Walt Disney World event that has now been extended with dates into March 2016!
What is our fascination with villains? Do they perceive themselves as villainous or simply misunderstood? Whatever your reasons, the four villainous characters at this Club Villain in Disney’s Hollywood Studios are well worth your time!
As soon as they became available last fall, I purchased tickets to the newest Disney villain bash, Club Villain. My seven-year-old daughter and I enjoyed the last villains party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Villains Unleashed, in August 2014, but Club Villain was a complete departure (it is still a hard ticket event at $129 per person, tax and gratuity included).
The wait time to meet Maleficent at Villains Unleashed was four hours at the start of the party. Needless to say, we didn’t wait for her that evening. I honestly knew nothing about Club Villain when I purchased, I was just excited for another villains event!
Club Villain takes place in Sunset Showcase, located just behind Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The venue was indoors, which was lovely on the rainy evening we attended, and included a full buffet dinner and two bars serving wine, beer, and a signature cocktail specially created for each villain. Host Dr. Facilier, and his club manager Kanzo, kept everyone entertained. Music throughout the evening was provided by DJ Thibodeaux, creating a loud and festive Mardi Gras atmosphere. The food was inspired by traditional New Orleans cuisine, and I will tell you now — it was delicious!
The check-in podium was located in the front of the building. We arrived 20 minutes prior to our 7:45PM reservation time (there was one seating time the evening we attended), and we were given our invitation, which included our table number and scheduled times to meet the characters: Cruella de Vil, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and the Queen of Hearts.
All of the guests were welcomed into the building promptly at 7:30PM, where the DJ was already spinning tunes. The food was [Read more…]

What is it with all the seriously cool kitchen stuff arriving on shelves at Disney World lately?
We were thrilled to see the new line of Princess and Villains mugs; and we were so excited for the opening of the Marketplace Co-op, which offers some awesome kitchenware paying homage to some of our favorite attractions and lands.
And then recently I happened across these Alice in Wonderland Dish Towels!
Each set features a pair of towels – the pictures I took show off both of the towels available in each set. The Alice in Wonderland and Queen of Hearts Set is similar the other sets in that they each have one thicker terry cloth-type towel and a lighter one that is more of a quilted style. And just look at the details on the Alice towel.
The Belle Dish Towel Set features a Belle towel, and also a tribute to the “Be Our Guest” number in the film – perfect for the kitchen!
With the new Maleficent movie (as well as the dragon’s showstopping, fire-breathing turn in the new Festival of Fantasy parade), we’re sure to be seeing a lot of this most notorious of Disney Villains. So it’s no surprise that there’s a Maleficent Dish Towel Set as well.
If you look closely at the damask-pattern towel, you’ll see the face of Maleficent appear.
Does your kitchen tend to produce more “Sweet” (Minnie) dishes…
… or “Spicy” [Read more…]

Hey all! We were up before the sun and are reporting live from the Disney 24-hour Rock Your Disney Side event on both coasts!
We’ll be updating this post throughout the day with new eats and treats, so be sure to stay tuned! We already have a LOT to share with you!
For those who haven’t heard about this event, it’s Disney’s opportunity to kick off the Summer season (and to promote their new rides and movies) by being open for 24 solid hours at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Disneyland! Guests get the chance to indulge in one-day-only treats and goodies, have access to fun one-day-only merchandise, and fight super SUPER huge crowds (always a must when you’re at Disney, right?). 😉
OK, let’s dive right into the list of what we’ve been noshing on this morning…
So with this whole “both coasts homogenize all their food” thing (blerg), you can see similar specialty treats in Disney World and Disneyland more and more often. This is definitely happening for this big event!
Rock Your Disney Side Heroes vs. Villains Cupcakes
Of COURSE there are specialty cupcakes! How could they deny us this?
Today, they’re featuring vanilla and chocolate versions with little villains and heroes logo chocolate pieces on top. (I guess your “Disney side” is heroes vs villains?)
Maleficent Themed Rice Krispie Treats, Caramel Apples, and Cake Pops
These Maleficent goodies are definitely some of the most creative I’ve seen in a while! Interestingly, the cake pops were executed MUCH better in Disneyland than they were in Disney World, so I chose the prettier pic to share. 😉
There are a few goodies debuting at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today! (We’re hoping some of them might hang around on the menus, but, sadly, most of them won’t.) We’re super excited about this one in particular:
Poisoned Apple Waffle Sundae
Found at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square, this lightly sweet waffle is topped with vanilla soft serve and stewed apples (basically good apple pie filling). The whole thing is sprinkled with green and purple sugar crystals to promote the new Maleficent film.
Breakfast Dog
Over at the Lunching Pad, this breakfast dog features sausage, eggs, and plastic cheese!
Character Cupcakes
These new cupcakes featuring some of your [Read more…]
