Just in time, we’re here to bring you the best kind of news: Epcot MARGARITA news!
Between La Cantina de San Angel and Choza de Margarita in Epcot‘s World Showcase, we’ve got new margaritas and menu changes to tell you about. Let’s dive in!
Wow, are we EVER glad to say “Welcome!” to Choza de Margarita — here at long last!!!
Choza de Margarita (originally announced as Choza Tequila) is the brand new outdoor margarita bar opening TODAY right next to Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion. Once upon a time, we could all pick up a margarita — or two 😉 — at the small, thatched roof Mexico Margarita Stand during a World Showcase stroll. But when the neighboring Norway Pavilion expanded to add new Frozen-themed attractions, we were saddened to learn that the humble little kiosk would be closed to accommodate construction in that area.
The operative word in that sentence, of course, is “WERE.”
Because CHOZA IS OPEN!!!
Choza de Margarita is located directly adjacent to the Pavilion’s pyramid. And its design details are fitting to its location. If you remember the ol’ Margarita Stand, then you’ll recall the little thatched roof placed atop a kiosk that held just a couple of Cast Members at any given time.
Well, the thatched roofing still sets the scene at Choza de Margarita, but this new spot can definitely hold more than a few people at once! [Read more…]

We’ve sure been doing some talking about Epcot lately, what with the 2017 International Food and Wine Festival starting in less than a month (!!!) and some sneaky peeks happening over the past few weeks.
But lest we get lost in a sea of future Marketplace Booths, there is plenty happening in the here and now, too. And one of the places it’s ALWAYS happening is La Cava del Tequila inside the Mexico Pavilion of World Showcase.
This cave full of liquor features one of my absolute favorites with the Avocado Margarita, which remains near the top of my Drinking Around the World list. It’s creamy, surprisingly refreshing, and fully satisfying on a hot day. But if you’re looking to stray outside the list of tried and true favorites, with over 70 types of tequila you can easily find something new-to-you!
So let’s head on down to La Cava, inside the Mexico pyramid. And remember, you can queue up to grab your drinks To-Go; or you can wait for a table to open up at this cozy little spot.
But if you do choose to sit a spell, you can’t beat the atmosphere. Low lighting, lots of stone and brick work, beautiful murals showcasing the tequila-making process, and carved chairs help this place feel right at home in the beautiful Pavilion while still having a vibe unique to anywhere else in Disney World. It’s a great little getaway. [Read more…]

We are anxiously awaiting word on the opening date for Choza de Margarita in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion!
Originally announced as Choza Tequila, this upcoming outdoor tequileria and margarita bar will also serve tacos, empanadas, chips, and fresh guacamole.
Though we are still looking forward to information on when this spot will be open for thirsty passersby in World Showcase (it was originally slated for early 2017), we do have some intel regarding something VERY important.
MARGARITAS.
Thanks to the La Cava del Tequila Twitter account AND the new Choza de Margarita Twitter account, we’ve been able to sneak a peek at a few of the offerings on the way. [Read more…]
Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! Are you planning to indulge in some serious queso-guac-margarita goodness today?!
As for us, we know where we’re heading to celebrate: La Cava del Tequila in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion! And you’re welcome to come along in our latest DFB Video: Cinco Margaritas to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
La Cava del Tequila, with its stellar selection of tequila and mezcal (and even sotol!), is one of the best places anywhere ever to go for margaritas, or even flights. We’ve enjoyed our fair share of their handcrafted drinks.

Happy Friday! We have another spectacular DFB Video to share with you today. And this time, we’re coming to you from Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge!
Because we think there’s no better way to celebrate Happy Friday than with Happy Hour!
And for this reason, Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is one of our most favorite stops for a drink in all of Walt Disney World. Why? Because FLIGHTS, my friends. (Also, people watching.) [Read more…]

In October, we shared photos of new construction walls popping up just beside Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion.
And we were SUPER jazzed, because that meant we were finally able to speculate about a new outdoor bar to replace the stand that once provided tasty Margaritas to thirsty passersby on their way around World Showcase. [Read more…]
Looking for a unique margarita? Well, look no further than La Cava del Tequila!
Tucked inside Epcot’s gorgeous Mexico Pavilion, this cozy tequila house was once considered something of a hidden gem. While it’s definitely still a gem, it can no longer really be considered “hidden,” judging by the lines that can easily extend out the door. In fact, these lines were likely part of the recent change in hours for La Cava, which now opens at 11:30 am (as opposed to the previous Noon opening). AND you can grab a quick ‘rita after Illuminations if you’d like; closing time has now been extended to 9:30 pm.
La Cava has well-earned a solid reputation for its impressive selection of tequila, some freaking amazing Queso, and a staff with passion and knowledge about all things related to tequila as well as creative margarita concoctions.
And what’s better than a margarita from La Cava? Why, that would be TWO margaritas from La Cava!
So join me as I try an old favorite — the Blood Orange Margarita — along with a newer selection that was just begging for a taste test: the Beet Margarita.
But first… remember those lines I mentioned? These days, this joint is pretty much always jumpin’… the shot below serves as an example of the packed house on my recent visit. [Read more…]

Today, we are heading back to the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival for a look at a brand new Special Event!
One of the new events introduced this year is the Rockin’ Burger Block Party, and DFB has been at two of the parties.
Join us today as we share our experience, which includes visits with a few celebrity guests and an incredible variety of burgers.
And if you like what you see, there are still tickets left for the November 6th Party, which features Cake Boss Buddy Valastro! Just call (407) 939-3378 to make your reservations.
The Rockin’ Burger Block Party sounds like it might take place outside…but no.
The event is held in World ShowPlace, the events pavilion that’s tucked away behind giant doors in World Showcase. If you haven’t been there before, you’ll find the entrance between the Canada and UK Pavilions.
Just look for the Events Cast Members, and they’ll point the way!
Check-in for the event is located inside the main entrance. The party actually takes place in the large room that’s beyond. [Read more…]

So, you’ve heard us mention Food Trucks quite a few times here on the DFB, and typically we’re referring to the four Disney Food Trucks most often found at Exposition Park in Downtown Disney’s West Side (though we’ve also had the chance to visit the Truckeria Rolling Taco Truck when it has appeared on occasion).
Well, today we’re visiting four more Food Trucks… but they’re not the ones you’re accustomed to seeing (like Fantasy Fare or Namaste Cafe), nor are they in the place you’re used to hearing them mentioned. Nope… we’re excited to bring you news of the Food Trucks that can currently be found on the weekends at the Causeway of Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts!
I say “currently” because — as is pretty common for food trucks of any sort — schedules (as well as locations –what with being mobile and all 😉 ) are apt to change. And these food trucks are actually in a testing phase as well. So while we’ll list some info about hours and availability with every truck below, please note that [Read more…]
