NEWS: Mask Mandate SUSPENDED In Most Disney World Locations

To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.

We have seen many changes made to Disney World’s health and safety guidelines over the past several months.

Travel restrictions continue to be updated, mask policies continue to change, and we’ve seen airlines cancel flights due to employee COVID-19 cases. The most recent changes to Disney World’s face mask policy were made back in 2021, when Disney World reinstated its mask policy for all indoor locations and on most Disney World transportation, and then updated some rules regarding outdoor rides. Now, that policy is about to change again.

Eating in Disney World Just Changed…Again

Disney World has been updating its policies as the situation with COVID-19 continues to develop.

Recently, the Orange County, Florida mayor recommended that individuals wear masks indoors again, and noted that the county is in “crisis mode” due to the COVID-19 situation there. Soon after, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also updated their guidance and are now recommending that vaccinated individuals wear masks in indoor, public locations in certain areas and Disney World responded by requiring masks indoors once again. Now, the way you eat in Disney World has changed.

NEWS: CDC Announces New Indoor Mask Recommendations

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve around the world, including in the United States.

Recently, the mayor of Orange County, Florida has noted that they are in “crisis mode” due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the county, and we shared that the United States will not be lifting its travel restrictions due to COVID-19 concerns. Earlier today, we shared that the Centers for Disease Control may be updating their recommendations regarding mask wearing and now we’ve got an update.

NEWS: Disney Releases Official Statement On CDC’s New Mask Guidelines

As more people get vaccinated for COVID-19, we’re beginning to see the situation around the U.S. begin to change.

We’ve even started to see some changes at Disney World — not only did the company announce they’ll begin to phase out temperature checks at the parks, but it also changed its wording on its website suggesting that social distancing guidelines in the parks might also soon change.

As the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and COVID-19 vaccinations has continued, we’ve seen the guidelines and regulations from various government entities and even theme parks change.

Recently, we saw a major theme park stop temperature checks and outdoor mask requirements. The CDC has also updated its indoor mask guidance for those who are fully vaccinated. But, now BIG changes have been announced when it comes to the use of mask outdoors.
