It’s time for the holidays in Disney World!
Along with the VERY busy crowds, there was some surprising news this week, like learning about a new Genie+ booking option, or finding out about another Magical Express replacement. Take a look!
We’re just a little over one week away from the launch of Mears Connect, one of two bus services that will replace Disney’s Magical Express when it service concludes at the end of the year. The other bus service that will replace Magical Express is the recently-announced Sunshine Flyer.
Just ahead of its rollout, we are finally getting a first look at what one of the Mears buses will look like!
We’re coming up on a new year; we can’t believe it’s already almost 2022!
If you’re planning a Disney World trip next year, we want to make sure you’re prepared. You can, of course, rely on DFB for all the tips and tricks you need to make sure your planning goes smoothly. This time, we’re telling you about seven Disney World MISTAKES you don’t want to make in 2022.
2021 was a really big year for Walt Disney World Resort!
With reopening offerings, health and safety policies, and new attractions and restaurants, there have been some major changes to the theme parks and resorts in the past 12 months. But how will those changes impact your 2022 vacation? We’ve got the answers!
Disney World made the announcement earlier this year that it would be discontinuing its Magical Express service that provided free transportation for Disney hotel guests to go to and from Orlando International Airport.
Magical Express will be officially discontinued on January 1st, 2022. But, there will be a new transportation service replacing Magical Express called Mears Connect. This service will not be free, meaning there is no longer a free option to get to and from the airport and your Disney World hotel (unless you have a friend in the area that wants to give you a ride!). You can take a ride share service like Uber, use a taxi, rent a car, or take the new Mears Connect system. So, let’s take a look at what Mears Connect will cost you!
2021 has been a BIG year in Disney World, with lots of major changes.
In addition to changing Disney World Annual Passes, Disney has also discontinued or altered many previously “free” perks, like complimentary MagicBands for Disney World Resort hotel guests and Annual Passholders, as well as replacing Extra Magic Hours with the shorter Early Theme Park Entry and the more selective Extended Evening Hours. And now perhaps one of the BIGGEST free Disney World perks will be gone in a few short weeks, and here’s what you need to know.
If visiting Disney World is on your list of 2022 resolutions, then you’ll want to be prepared for some big changes in store! From new rides to new hotels to major changes in the way we plan (and budget for) our vacations, a trip to Disney World in 2022 will be unlike any trip you’ve taken before!
There are ten big changes on the way in the new year — let’s recap those changes today so you’re prepared to do Disney World a little differently than you have in the past!
A new year is right around the corner! If you are planning a trip to Disney World in 2022, then you’re probably preparing for all of the changes, including Disney Genie and Genie+, the 50th Anniversary Celebration, and much more!
However, if you’re accustomed to flying in and out of Orlando International Airport, then your Disney World trip may actually cost MORE starting on January 1st. That’s right, there’s a new line item in your vacation budget that you’ll now need to plan for starting in 2022: ground transportation.
Can you believe we’re already MONTHS into 2022? It’s shaping up to be a big year if you’re a Disney World fan, with the continuation of the 50th Anniversary Celebration plus much, much more!
If you’re looking ahead on your calendar as you plan for your next visit to Disney World, you’ll want to make sure you circle the following dates!
At the end of 2021, Disney’s Magical Express will be discontinued and will conclude its service to and from Orlando International Airport. As of this writing, Disney has yet to announce their own replacement program that will shuttle guests from the airport to their resort hotel, but Mears, the company that operated Magical Express, has announced what they will provide.
Mears Connect will launch right after Magical Express is discontinued, so it’s important to get the rundown on what exactly this new service is, how it’s similar to Magical Express, and how it’s different!
