March was a BIG month of news for Disney World and lots of news can sometimes make for surprises!
From dining changes to health measure updates and more, let’s take a look at the four most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in March!
Disney World is slowly returning to a new form of “normal,” and this week was PACKED with exciting news.
Character meet-and-greets are changing again (in a BIG way), we’re already learning more about the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and a popular treat is BACK in Magic Kingdom. Find out all the unexpected and surprising Disney World news here!
Are you sitting down? No? Well, you might want to! We’ve got a whole BUNCH of Disney news to catch you up on!
From exciting restaurant reopening news to EPCOT Food & Wine Festival updates and character meet-and-greet changes — this has been quite the busy week. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive into the biggest Disney news stories from the past few days!
Things have changed a lot on Disney Cruise Line over the past few months…and they’re about to change AGAIN!
We’ve already seen mask requirements adjusted on Disney’s cruises, as well as COVID-19 requirements updated for sailings from Canada, and more changes. But soon a key thing many fans have likely missed from Disney’s sailings will be coming back!
There’s nothing quite like hugging your favorite Disney character, right?!
Well, do we have BIG news for you. Yesterday, Disney teased the return of traditional character meet and greets and now we have an official announcement.
🚨 Get ready! The way you meet your favorite Disney characters in the parks is CHANGING…again!
Prior to the pandemic, meeting Mickey, the Disney princesses, and other iconic characters was full of hugs, autographs, and regular face-to-face contact. Of course, the situation with COVID-19 changed all of that. After the parks reopened, fans got the chance to see Mickey and friends…but only from a distance. Then, more traditional meet-and-greets returned, but they were still riddled with changes including (importantly) distancing requirements, no hugs, and no autographs. We later heard that the face-to-face meet-and-greets we’re all used to would soon be returning to Disney World (and got a hint about it yesterday) and now we’ve got BIG news!
Visiting Disney World soon? Want to meet some of your favorite characters?
Meet-and-greets aren’t quite back to “normal” yet in the Most Magical Place on Earth but you can still say “hello” and snap a selfie with some princesses, the main mouse, and more. Meeting these characters, however, will require you to wait in a standby line. Want to skip the wait and get quicker and easier access to your favorite Disney pals? We’ve got a little tip!
So much of the fun in visiting Disney Parks is getting a chance to see the characters come to life through meet and greets.
Although meet and greets have changed a bit over the last few years, they are back at the parks! When it comes to characters, though, Disneyland Resort has A TON you’ll only ever get to meet there! This includes one NEW character from last year’s Raya and the Last Dragon who is about to make her big debut.
Disney World has seen a lot of changes over the past couple years when it comes to how the parks operate.
Character meet and greets weren’t available for a long time (and now that they’re back, they’re modified), we’ve seen a variety of health and safety measures like temperature screenings and face mask requirements, and crowd capacity was being limited after the parks reopened in July of 2020. Some changes remain in place, while other things are back to normal, but Disney seems to be looking for some feedback on what should happen next in the parks.
Part of the fun in going to Disney World is seeing the characters. And although traditional meet and greets haven’t returned to Disney World since its reopening, there are still plenty of places to see characters, wave to them, and say hello!
Today, we found a NEW spot where you can meet one of Disney World’s most popular — and stylish — characters!
