The Train Line that will Connect Disney World to the Orlando Airport Hits a Major Construction Milestone
Now that the Disney Magical Express is gone, travelers need a new way to get to and from the airport and Disney World.
There are several options, like Mears Connect, the Sunshine Flyer, an Uber, or renting a car. But, in the future, people will be able to take a train from the airport to Disney World! But first, that train has to get to Orlando. The Brightline train is currently working on an expansion from southern Florida to Orlando, and construction just hit a major milestone.
Update on the Airport Train to Disney World
For quite a while now, we’ve been sharing updates on the Brightline train that’s coming to Central Florida!
Eventually, the train will have a station at Disney Springs and will feature a line directly from the Orlando Airport. But first, Brightline is constructing the other railway lines, and recently the first train that will service Central Florida has arrived!
Disney Cruise Line Will Resume Lengthier Sailings Soon
The Disney Cruise Line has been making several modifications to cruises recently.
Previously, only short cruises were scheduled for these ships (three- and four-nights) with plans to bring back the longer cruises later. Now, the Disney Cruise Line has scheduled trips for these longer cruises, and they’re available for booking now. [Read more…]
News: Carnival Cruise Line Cancels Remaining 2020 Departures From Florida
Last week, we learned that the CDC’s No-Sail Order were set to expire in exchange for what is known as a “conditional sail order.” This new order required cruise line operators to meet a set of criteria before being allowed to set sail, including the cancelation of itineraries longer than seven days, testing for crew and passengers, and simulated voyages to test operator’s ability to reduce transmission risk.
We had wondered how these new orders would impact certain cruise operators that were planning on resuming their departures before the end of 2020, like Carnival Cruise Line.
