Who loves breakfast? Me, toooo! And if there’s anything better than breakfast, it’s vacation breakfast. Even better? DISNEY VACATION breakfast. And that’s what we’re talking about today in our latest DFB Video!
What’s your Disney breakfast favorite? Mickey Waffles and MORE Mickey Waffles? Tonga Toast? Nutella Waffle Sandwiches? How about a buffet of endless classics or all you care to enjoy skillets paired with antics or characters? [Read more…]
It’s good to see you again, Roaring Fork!
Roaring Fork is the primary Counter Service restaurant at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Over the past several months, the entire resort has been undergoing several refurbishments, and these changes have certainly included some of the dining options at the Lodge.
For instance, this past February brought the addition of Geyser Point Bar & Grill — a hybrid outdoor lounge and Counter Service location. The opening of Geyser Point coincided with the temporary closure of Roaring Fork for a renovation of its own.
And even though Geyser Point has been a terrific addition to Wilderness Lodge, we have missed Roaring Fork. As home to everything from Specialty Waffles in the morning to some of our favorite cupcakes anywhere — all served up in the Lodge’s uniquely beautiful rustic setting — Roaring Fork has long held a special place in our hearts. And we know we’re not the only ones who feel that way.
So, I’m sure some of you are as anxious as I am to see what’s new and what’s remained the same (did the Waffles make the cut?!?) at Roaring Fork. Let’s not waste any more time checking it out!
Before the refurbishment, there were a few words you could always use to describe Roaring Fork. Among them were “rustic” and even “cozy.” [Read more…]
No doubt about it.
Animal Kingdom is THE place to be in Disney World right now!
With all the excitement over the opening of Pandora — The World of AVATAR, crowds have increased all over the park.
To help feed the hungry masses, a temporary breakfast option has returned — just for the early summer — to Restaurantosaurus in Dinoland, U.S.A.
And if you are visiting Animal Kingdom now through June 10th, you are DEFINITELY going to want to know about the Dino-Sized Breakfast options, featuring Mickey Waffles complete with a Waffle Topping Bar! What?! I KNOW!!
Okay, so you could also choose a Yogurt Parfait, Fresh Fruit Cup or Cereal. [Read more…]
Editor’s Note: We’ve confirmed that all options — grab and go, the buffet, and the food truck options, are all considered to be quick service credits on the Disney Dining Plan.
Thanks to the huge brouhaha that it caused, most of us know that Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World is undergoing a massive renovation starting — well, now.
While the resort undergoes what is from all accounts going to be a gigantic, transformative makeover, dining options are obviously going to be impacted. In fact, Caribbean Beach Resort’s only bar, Banana Cabana, and its only sit-down restaurant, Shutters, are closing to make way for the overhaul.
Obviously, people still need to eat, though. So we’ve been monitoring the situation closely. As part of that, we’ve visited the resort a couple of times over the last two weeks to bring you descriptions and photos of everything, as the transitional plans shape up. [Read more…]

Sometimes, nothing but a plate with This Guy on it will do. Yep. We’re talkin’ about a Mickey Waffle the size of your head.
Or do you prefer the Mini Version? So cute, I could just eat them up! (And I doooo!)
Regardless of whether your tastes run to the Jumbo or the Mini, say it with me:
And that’s why you want to — YOU NEED TO — make them at home. [Read more…]
The Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is a Magic Kingdom landmark.
Located at the end of Main Street, USA, right before the turn-off into Tomorrowland, this place is an ice cream lover’s dream.
We love it so much, we recently created a Video Review so even when we’re miles away, we can still imagine we’re dipping into a hand-scooped sundae or enjoying an ice cream cookie sandwich.
But there’s more than just ice cream on the menu these days. Now that the Magic Kingdom opening show has been moved into the park itself, there’s plenty of time for milling about and noshing on breakfast before the rides officially open.
So the Ice Cream Parlor has graciously stepped in to add some morning fare to its standard list of eats. The additions include a long-awaited treat in the Magic Kingdom; and a sweet and tasty “event” that’s really more dessert than breakfast. But we never judge!
Variety is the name of the game at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. There are several permanent flavors from which to choose as well as an occasional specialty flavor that rotates in and out of the line-up. [Read more…]
