There’s a LOT going on in Disney World right now!
Animal Kingdom
It’s Halloween season, which means there are a bunch of fun foods available, as well as spooky decorations and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival is still going on, and we’ve also seen some new restaurants, like the BoardWalk Deli. We check out the parks all the time to see what’s going on, so let’s take a look at what’s new in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Docking Bay 7 in Disneyland
Festivals and holidays bring new food and drinks into the parks, and we happily taste them all so that you know which ones are the best. But it’s not just those times of the year that bring new items into the parks. That’s right — new additions hit menus around Disneyland Resort and Disney World all the time. And, speaking of, new changes will be hitting the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo menu at Disneyland very soon!

We’ve seen special treats hit Disney World for the 50th Anniversary, Halfway to Halloween event, Mother’s Day, and now — summer! If you’re jumping into the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+, and you’re looking for a way to celebrate the force in Disney World — there’s a treat for that. On what, you may ask? Well, dozens of unique stores with cool merchandise, some of the BEST restaurants in all of Disney World, and several particularly fun and over-the-top snacks! Plus, the shopping and dining complex has several entertainment options with live music, Cirque du Soleil, a movie theater, and more. BUT if you haven’t been in a minute, some things have changed — so today, we’re sharing everything that’s new in Disney Springs!
If you’re looking for a casual meal in Disney World that’s still REALLY good, Disney Springs is THE place to be!
The Polite Pig at Disney Springs!
While there are a ton of options to please almost any flavor palette, like Pan-Asian cuisine at Morimoto Asia or Spanish-inspired eats from Jaleo, there are also some more traditional eats like BBQ from The Polite Pig! But, just because you’re opting for some traditional American eats doesn’t mean that you have to settle — The Polite Pig is now home to SWEET TEA fried chicken and we knew we HAD to check it out as soon as it was announced!
Something new is cooking up in EPCOT!

No, we’re not talking about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (although we’re extremely excited for its official opening on May 27th). We’re talking about the Pepperoni Pizza Roll at Sunshine Seasons! We’ve seen Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls over at Disney California Adventure in the past as well as Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls in Magic Kingdom (both of which we really enjoyed), so of course we had to try this new pizza-inspired item! And spoiler alert: This is PERFECT for pizza lovers!
We love our tried and true Disney World food staples, like corn dog nuggets and plastic cheese, Dole Whip, and the famous Magic Kingdom spring rolls.

But, it’s also very exciting to find new delicious seasonal treats (we just wish they would stick around!). So, let’s take a look at all of the NEW food at Disney World for the summertime!

Of all four of Disney World’s parks, this one is the most like stepping into a fantasy world, one where fairies are real, one where princesses meet with guests, one with a gigantic castle in the middle of it, and attractions that take you to the Wild West, the Caribbean, the future, and more! We took a look at TRON Lightcycle Run construction, saw menu changes at various counter service locations, and found a ton of new items around the park! So buckle up, because we’re about to throw a ridiculous amount of new (and restocked) merchandise your way!
Disney Springs in Disney World is home to more than 60 places to eat, many of which have world-class dining options available, so it takes a LOT for a restaurant to stand out here. But one location that definitely has a spot near the top of our must-try list is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Kitchen.
