A lot of people have used MagicBands in Disney World, but have you tried out the new MagicBand+ yet? This is the next generation of MagicBands, and they include all the normal functions (you can use them to scan into the parks, open your hotel room, and even pay for things if you link to a credit card) plus some extra features.

MagicBand+ has finally launched in Disney World!

Yes, there have been some road bumps — glitchy character statues, delayed MagicBand+ arrivals, and some confusing elements. But it’s not all bad. Many guests have had a great experience with the new interactive features, and enjoy the MagicBand+ designs available around the resort and online. And, speaking of, 17(!!!) new designs have joined the mix — check out a few of our favorites!

SO much has happened in Disney World since the beginning of the year — character meet and greets returned to normal, certain entertainment came back, and more restaurants reopened, just to name a few. The new generation of MagicBands is coming to Disney World next week (on July 27th). These bands will have several new features, such as haptic vibrations that play along with nighttime shows in the parks, interactivity with 50th Anniversary statues, and access to a Bounty Hunter game in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
