Last month at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, Disney announced an order of four new ships for the Disney Cruise Line which, combined with several ships already under construction, will put the company’s fleet at 13 ships by 2031. We’ve known for a while that Disney is changing their streaming pricing structure next month. Beginning in October, prices for Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the bundle of all three will be increasing. In preparation for that, the company is adding some NEW options to the service.Â
At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney announced that a Monsters, Inc. Land will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Disney announced that the new land would include Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster that will have you zooming through the factory via a door. Other than that, Disney didn’t reveal too many other details about this new land, but we did notice something in the concept art that gives a HUGE hint about a restaurant coming to the land!
Universal has been making great progress on their new Epic Universe theme park which is expected to open in Orlando in 2025. Lots of rides have been testing and we have gotten LOTS of details about what to expect in each of the themed lands.

If building one new theme park isn’t enough, Universal has also been toying with the idea of building a brand-new theme park in the United Kingdom. This plan has been brewing for a bit, but we just got an update on the status!

Why? Well, because if you’ve booked your trip a year in advance, things may happen between the time you booked your trip and your actual travel dates. In fact, Disney is known to adjust its park hours all the time. Sometimes, it’s due to after-hours testing, or more often, a company may rent out a park for a special event (or the parks can close early for one of Disney’s special events like their Halloween and holiday parties or after-hours events). If you’re heading to EPCOT in October, it’s imperative you know that the park will be closing EARLY one day!
