It’s almost time for PIXAR FEST!!
If you’re heading to Disneyland Resort anytime from April 13th through September 3rd, you’ll have the opportunity to celebrate the friendship and fun of the Disney Pixar films and characters throughout both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure during PIXAR FEST!!!

The celebration will include a new nighttime spectacular, TWO returning parades, Pixar characters, themed food and drinks, and much more! We’re sharing everything you need to know about Pixar Fest… and there’s a LOT to cover, so let’s waste no time!!

The Paint the Night Parade will make its return AND debut in Disneyland Resort on April 13th!
And how is that possible 🙂 ? While the Paint the Night Parade used to run in Disneyland Park, it will make its return in Disney California Adventure Park, marking its DCA debut. The return of the Paint the Night Parade coincides with the beginning of this summer’s Pixar Fest.

Two packages pairing food with a reserved viewing area for the parade are now available for booking.
The Paint the Night Parade Dining Package may be booked at your choice of two restaurants.
Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure
At Carthay Circle Restaurant, the dinner package includes a 4-course dinner from a prix fixe menu and includes one voucher for guaranteed seating at a reserved parade viewing area next to the restaurant.
Pricing starts at $99 for adults, and $45 for children ages 3 to 9.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek presented details regarding projects underway in Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Destinations around the world. Let’s start with what’s in store for Disney World!
One of the major pieces of news from last summer’s D23 event was the announcement of a Star Wars-inspired resort on the way to Disney World! More than a themed resort, the experience will be completely immersive for guests who will enter into the galaxy and story of Star Wars!
Today’s updates relayed that the immersive resort will be “seamlessly connected” to the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.
HUGE NEWS out of Disneyland today, my friends! It has just been announced that Pixar Pier — which is coming to Disneyland Resort’s Disney California Adventure Park — will bring serious changes for favorites Cove Bar and Ariel’s Grotto — including closures and renovations. While we’ve known that Pixar-themed changes are in store for Paradise Pier for a while, now we have more of the scoop!

Pixar Pier will be made up of four new neighborhoods representing four Pixar stories. The highlight of The Incredibles neighborhood will be the new Incredicoaster (transforming the current California Screamin’, which will close on January 8th).
Toy Story and Inside Out will also be represented in their own neighborhoods and will include a new family-friendly ride in the Inside Out area (opening season not yet announced).
Several Pixar stories will be represented in the fourth neighborhood, which will bring a new look to Mickey’s Fun Wheel (each gondola will feature a different Pixar character). The Games of the Boardwalk will likewise be re-themed with Pixar characters. January 8th is again the closing date for Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Games of the Boardwalk, and Sideshow Shirts so the spots can begin their transformation. [Read more…]
