We’ve been busy this week running around all over Disney World, trying out new snacks and drinks, while also hunting down the newest Disney merchandise. That includes spending some time at Disney World’s hotels, seeing what’s new there, too! So let’s get on with the updates!
There are some things in Disney World that the average guest won’t ever see!

From fireworks shows to general maintenance, it takes a lot of work to keep the parks magical for guests. And that involves several things that only happen once the parks are already closed for the day! Let’s peek behind the closed gates and see what happens late each night in Disney World.
Magic Kingdom is getting some touch-ups for Disney World’s 50th anniversary!

Cinderella Castle is undergoing a major transformation, and Fantasyland is getting some spiffying up! On top of some fresh paint, shimmering gold leaf decor is being added to some classic attractions. We’ve already seen some signs of this on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, but when we stopped by today we noticed some MAJOR progress!
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Disney World, and Disney is getting ready to throw a VERY glitzy birthday party!
Decorations are already going up!
And decorations at Magic Kingdom are already going up! The castle got a spiffy new paint job, along with some brand new GORGEOUS decor! Bonjour Village Gifts just got a new look, AND we’ve even learned that the Main Street Confectionery is about to get a serious makeover!
The EPCOT Festival of the Arts may be winding down…

…but there’s still plenty to enjoy over the next few days before it ends! And one of the things we love is watching Visual Art in Performance, where Disney artists take to the stage and create art right in front of our eyes!
For those of us who fancy ourselves a Monet-in-the-making, being able to paint at a Disney World art festival sounds super fun!

That’s why we’ve been so excited about the return of the Paint-by-Number murals at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts this year, which is back with a socially distant twist.
