But sometimes the characters we like watching the most aren’t in costumes. Instead, they’re actually animals, doing the unpredictable things animals do. Did we lose our minds when sea urchins at EPCOT wore Mickey hats? Yes, yes, we did. We even recently shared a post about the animals that have been at Animal Kingdom since DAY ONE. Well, now, we have even more animal antics to share with you.

Over the weekend, a Disney animatronic ended up in flames…literally when the Maleficent dragon used in Disneyland’s version of Fantasmic! caught on fire. Following this, fire effects similar to the one used at Disneyland were suspended, and now we’ve seen first-hand how this will impact YOUR Disney World trip.

We know it’s still a few months away, but Disney World has announced that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween (MNSSHP) party is officially returning for 2023. We got the full list of dates and prices, but we also got some big details about the entertainment being offered…including the Halloween parade!
We’re wrapping up Spring Break season, not even into summer yet, but Disney World is already thinking about the HOLIDAYS.

That’s right! Not only is Disney celebrating Halfway to Halloween right now, but the company is also prepping for Halloween and Christmas events in the parks. How so? Well, we found a fun little hint to what we can expect for Halloween a few days ago…and now we’ve got one for Christmas as well.

Disney World’s Festival of Fantasy parade
Disney has a LOT of experience with AMAZING parades, including the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Disney World, the Main Street Electrical Parade that came back for a brief time last year in Disneyland, and Disneyland’s Magic Happens parade. Now, ANOTHER Disney Park is coming in with a brand NEW parade, and it looks incredible.

Some parades are very common and happen every single day. Other parades are rare and might only happen during certain holiday periods. But there’s one parade in particular that you may have NEVER seen because it only happens ONCE each year (and it changes every single time it happens!).
The Walt Disney World Railroad recently reopened in Magic Kingdom after being closed for more than four years!

The train was forced to close so that construction could begin on TRON Lightcycle / Run, but now it is officially open for guests once again. It’s one of our favorite experiences in Magic Kingdom, especially since it takes you all around the park — giving you a prime view of other attractions, construction projects, and more. But, we think we may have figured out the exact WRONG time to take the train in Disney World!
