That’s the day the park’s newest ride, TRON Lightcycle / Run will officially open! Buckle up friends — Park Pass changes are coming soon to Disney World!
Disney previously announced that an important Park Pass change would be made for Disney World Annual Passholders that would provide them with more flexibility when entering the parks. But, at that time Disney only shared that the change would be made within the next few months. Now, we’ve got an official start date!
Park Passes are CHANGING at Disney World.
We’ve already seen some Park Pass changes made in the past few months, including a reveal about BIG adjustments coming for Annual Passholders. But what other changes could be made to the Park Pass system in 2023? We’re taking a close look at some of the statements from Disney’s own CEO (Bob Iger) and other executives to figure that out. Let’s break it all down.
Disney is in the middle of some big lawsuits right now.
Back in February, we shared details about consumer antitrust lawsuits filed against Disney. Plus, they’ve been hit with lawsuits in the past related to the way they handled the Parental Rights in Education Bill in Florida, the Park Pass system in Orlando (and how it works with Annual Passholders), and the park reservation system (and its impact on Magic Key holders) in Disneyland too. But things with lawsuits change, so today we’re taking a closer look at the Park Pass lawsuit related to Disney World’s Annual Passholders to see just what’s going on.
Park Passes — love them or hate them, they’re in use right now in Disney World and you can’t avoid them, except in very specific cases!
While a Park Pass is generally required (in addition to a valid ticket) for all Disney World theme parks, there are some situations where you can visit a Disney theme park without a Park Pass at all. But you’ll need to know ALL the rules to make sure you get it right. That’s where we come in.
One of the most controversial parts of the current Disney World experience could be CHANGING in a big way.
The Park Pass reservation system was introduced after the COVID-19 park closures and has stuck around ever since, gaining lots of praise from various Disney executives but a heavy amount of criticism from Disney fans. Essentially, because of the Park Pass system, a valid ticket is no longer enough to get you into the parks. Instead, if you want to visit a Disney World park on any given day, you’ll need (1) a valid ticket, and (2) a Park Pass reservation for the first park you want to visit. But could the system soon be altered in a way that’ll make guests happier? One Disney executive thinks so.
Disney has been involved in a number of lawsuits over the years, and another one is seeing some big developments now.
Disney has recently had to deal with a Park Pass lawsuit from Magic Key passholders, a Park Pass lawsuit initiated by Annual Passholders, and an investor lawsuit stemming from Disney’s handling of the Parental Rights in Education Bill in Florida (what critics call “Don’t Say Gay”). Right now, we’re taking a closer look at the Annual Pass Park Pass lawsuit as that has seen some major developments.
Buckle up folks, we have some MASSIVE Disney news to share with you.
