With the 2018 Disney Dining Plan including alcoholic and specialty non-alcoholic beverages, it’s more difficult than ever to figure out where to go to make the most of your DDP.
Review: Sweets Eats at Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom!
has become a nice little getaway in New Fantasyland (seriously, it’s been five years; when can we stop calling it “New”?), with a limited menu and proximity to meet-and-greets with the man himself.
Gaston’s menu is usually pretty minimal. At present you can find a Ham and Cheese Pretzel, a Chocolate Croissant, and a Fruit and Cheese Picnic Platter much better suited to Belle than someone so good at expectorating. And then there’s the Warm Cinnamon Roll, which is soooo satisfying (particularly so when you request extra icing…). We love it so much we even got the recipe!
Review and Tips: Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
We hear it again and again (and we’ve said it ourselves): Cinderella’s Royal Table is a must at least once in your Disney World vacation life.
And most guests who’ve dined in this hard-to-book restaurant inside Cinderella Castle agree that you’re really not there for the food. But the ambiance! The princesses! The views! The whole dining experience (did we mention it’s inside the castle?!) is the draw, even if the food is… a little hit or miss.
And it’s that experience that keeps Cinderella’s Royal Table hopping — with Advance Dining Reservations (ADR) ideally being made right at the 180 day mark — 180 days before the first day of your vacation. (Learn more about making dining reservations at Disney restaurants here.)
If you do get an ADR, prepare to be dazzled by the decor and wooed by the energy in the restaurant. You definitely get the sense that you’re in a special space, and with princesses swooping in for a chat and wishing stars waving in the air, it’s a one of a kind meal.
News: Tiffins Prix Fixe Menus! Plus: Review of Two New Eats in Pandora!
There are a lot of still new things to enjoy at Animal Kingdom, and today we’ve got the scoop on a few of them!
Over at Tiffins, the much-lauded signature restaurant that embraces travel and adventure, diners may experience not one but two prix fixe menus! The first prix fixe option is designed for busy days — days when the restaurant has lots of ADRs lined up. Offerings include Braised Wagyu Pozole and Grilled Swordfish.

Review: Mini Dessert Tarts at Pop Century’s Everything Pop Food Court
Greetings from Pop Culture Past… ‘cuz we’re back at Everything Pop Food Court at Pop Century Resort!
We JUST visited Landscape of Flavors in the Art of Animation Resort to try their new Miniature Whoopie Pies. I mention that because those unfamiliar with this area of Disney World may not know that it’s just a quick stroll over the bridge across Hourglass Lake to Pop Century. This is a huge boon for guests at either resort who have easy access to arguably two of the best food courts in Disney World. Hoping to try more exotic flavors? Hop on over to the Landscape. Craving comfort food served up with a side of quirkiness? Take a stroll to Everything Pop!
Now typically, if I’m here for dessert, it’s because I’m craving the King Cupcake, which has earned a place of honor on my Disney Food Bucket List!
But on this visit, fresh from Art of Animation, I couldn’t help but notice that Everything Pop is hopping on the Mini Train, too. In this case, it’s an assortment of Mini Dessert Tarts up for grabs, so let’s “pop” in for bite!
Atmosphere
Everything POP Food Court certainly lives up to its name…
It hosts a bright and fun atmosphere with lots of color and creativity. [Read more…]
Dining in Disneyland: Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast
When I first heard about the new Disneyland Resort Premium Experiences, I thought, “Hmmmm… These could be very interesting and VERY fun!” So far there have been two offerings, The Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou Dinner and The Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast.
My friend and I recently treated ourselves to the Jungle Cruise Sunrise Safari Breakfast and it was an amazing experience. My visit took place during the Disney Holidays Season, so the Jungle Cruise was transformed into the Jingle Cruise. Hence, my festive outfit, which you’ll see later.
Guest Review: Breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
Inside the mysterious Beast’s Castle, Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom continues to be an uber-popular reservation for Walt Disney World diners. Today, Beth Wesesky shares a guest review of the Croque Madame and other breakfast items.
I was deep in the throes of vacation planning for our upcoming trip to Walt Disney World; obsessively marking our itinerary on my calendar down to the minute (we all do that, right?!), when I received an email from My Disney Experience, requesting that we pre-order our meals for our breakfast Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) at Be Our Guest Restaurant (BOG). OK, so if you’re like me, you know how COOL it is to check out all of the options ahead of time and add just one more completed task to your plans, so of course, I jumped at the chance! That’s when I noticed something that I hadn’t seen before in all of my neurotic menu-checking and review reading – a NEW entrée option for breakfast!
The “Croque Madame” is described as an “Open-faced Ham Sandwich topped with a Fried Egg, Gruyere Cheese, and Béchamel served with Fresh Fruit and a selection of pastries”. It sounded wonderful, and I’m not even a big Swiss cheese fan! I told my hubby and son about the new option, and they BOTH chose it for their entrée. In my effort to be more “continental,” I chose the Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese for my entrée (how “European” of me!).
Atmosphere
The morning of our 8:45AM ADR, which also happened to correspond with morning Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom (so no early entry for us…boo!), we piled on the Resort bus from Pop Century and headed to the Happiest Place on Earth! [Read more…]

We can never resist a trip through Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, and apparently, reader Kristina Dennett agrees wholeheartedly. Check out her delicious assortment of French Pastries! Do you think she’ll share? 😉
When it’s time for coffee, nothing beats a well-crafted Cappuccino. Reader Zara Agnew’s husband ordered one at Les Chefs de France, and it was topped with this beautiful heart. Froth art is the best!
