No, we’re not talking about Easter or Earth Day. We’re talking about May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day), and chances are, if you’re a huge Star Wars fan, you celebrate BIG every year. We used to be able to plan Disney World trips without looking at a screen, and while it’s still technically possible, it’s much more challenging. Nowadays, you essentially need your phone for everything from checking wait times to mobile ordering your food, not to mention the endless vacation photos that you’re going to want to take. And after the trip (or during the trip!), it all goes up on social media! The age of social media and smartphones has had a pretty major impact on Disney World in the last few years, causing them to make some BIG changes.Â
You can get really busy with rides, food, shopping, and entertainment when you’re in Disney World, but you shouldn’t miss out on meeting characters while you’re in the parks!

Character meet and greets have been back in a modified way for a while, and soon, they’ll be going back to how they were before the shutdowns in 2020. This means you’ll be able to hug Mickey again and get autographs from Pluto! You’ll also be able to stand next to characters for photos, so you’ll probably want to grab some good pics, and we’re here to help you out when it comes to planning!
EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing. Incidentally, so is the love for Disney’s Encanto.

We were delighted to find new breakfast Arepas at the La Isla Fresca booth just a few days ago. Though they might not be explicitly Encanto related, they certainly help us feel like we’re trying out Julieta’s cooking! Now, though, you can take a pic with a favorite Encanto character at this fest!Â

When you’re taking pictures in Disney World, you want to look your best, right? Well, between the rush back and forth across the parks and Florida’s uncooperative weather, we often end up with some less-than-flattering photos. (Seriously, why didn’t anyone warn us that our hair was THAT frizzy from the humidity?!)
