We Rode Test Track at EPCOT For the First Time Since the Closures and It’s WAY Different Now!

We’re out here at EPCOT today experiencing many things in the park for the first time in MONTHS!

We’ve just arrived at the park and we couldn’t believe our luck when we saw Test Track was virtually a walk-on! Well, actually, we COULD believe it since wait times at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom have been significantly shorter these days now that there are way fewer people in the parks. Let’s see what modifications they’ve made to Test Track since the last time we rode it, shall we?

There’s Something MAJOR Missing From The Haunted Mansion in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

We are reporting LIVE from Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today. Though the park will not officially reopen to guests until this Saturday, July 11th, today is the first day of Cast Member previews.

We’ll be strolling by Sleeping Beauty Castle again on July 15th, but in the meantime, we’re taking a look at some of the health and safety measures we can expect when we head back into Disneyland Paris.

Walt Disney World is preparing to reopen theme parks to guests starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th followed by EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on July 15th.

NEWS: ‘Social Distancing Squads’ Will Make Theme Park Debut When Walt Disney World Parks Reopen

Today we are covering Walt Disney World’s plans for reopening as presented today to Florida’s Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force. The phased reopening is proposed to start with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th followed by Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT on July 15th.

Proposed safety measures for the opening include limiting guest capacity in the theme parks with a new guest theme park reservation system among other protocols. The limited capacity in the park will help to accomplish physical distancing between guests, and Walt Disney World will also rely on its cast members to help implement these new measures. We’re back in Disney Springs today for the first time since the historic closure of Disney World began in March.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, things look a little different in Disney’s dining, retail, and entertainment district. Prior to the reopening, Disney detailed that guests could expect to see some logistical changes with limited parking, temperature screenings, required face coverings, physical distancing, and more. Disney just announced that Disney Springs in Walt Disney World Resort will begin a phased reopening on May 20th. (You can read more details here.)

Along with the announcement, updates have been made to the Walt Disney World website regarding the reopening of the Resort. At this time, a phased reopening has only been announced for Disney Springs — the rest of the Resort remains closed until further notice. News! Florida Aquarium Plans to Re-Open Next Week! How Do Their Re-Opening Policies Compare to Disney World’s?

We were thrilled to share the news that Shanghai Disneyland will reopen on May 11th! And while that is indeed exciting, it remains true that other Disney Parks and destinations around the world remain closed until further notice due to the current global health situation.

However, we are starting to learn more about what the guest experience may look like in the Disney parks, thanks to a message from Disney regarding measures currently under consideration for a reopening that is safe for both guests and cast members.
