Many people may think the most popular ride in Disney World is over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios…but they’d be mistaken!

It makes sense — Hollywood Studios is full of popular rides with very long wait times. However, the culprit for the longest wait time is hiding over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s Flight of Passage in Pandora — The World of Avatar, but now we’ve got a good update to share.
The wait is over. Holiday crowds have made their exit from Disney World!

We’ve seen decorations come down and new merchandise replace the festive finds on the shelves, but one of the biggest things that has changed is the crowds. Overall it felt less crowded on a day-to-day basis this week, even though Park Passes were selling out for Annual Passholders on certain days. So what does this mean for the wait times? Well, let’s just say we think you’re going to like the news!
Ahhh…the holiday season is finally over in Disney World and you have room to breathe again in the parks, right? WRONG.

Despite lower Genie+ prices, Disney World has actually gotten busier after the holidays according to the wait times! We’ve seen some astronomically high wait times this week and park passes have been selling out. Which rides should you watch out for? That’s what we’re going to look at today!
WOW! One week can make a BIG difference in Disney World’s wait times. You may see some reasonable wait times in Magic Kingdom one day, then the next, the wait times at those same attractions SKYROCKET. What gives? Well, we’ve got two words: holiday. break.

The Disney World wait times saw a massive increase around the week of Christmas. In fact, one attraction reached a 150-minute wait! Now, let’s assess the data and see just how busy the parks really were during the holidays.
Love it or hate it, Genie+ seems to be here to stay — at least for now.

We’ve seen the skip-the-line service go through quite a few updates, and it even reached its highest price ever in Disney World over Christmas week. But, over in Disneyland, it’s actually good news to report on Genie+ for once — another ride is being added to the service!
We’ve been talking about it for weeks, but the week before Christmas has arrived…and boy is it busy!

Park passes have been selling out for all ticket types, several Annual Passholders are now blocked out, the multi-park and Magic Kingdom Genie+ options sold out, and (we’re not gonna sugar-coat it) the parks have felt CROWDED. That’s why we’re always warning you about this time of year in the parks — although it’s a fun place to spend the holidays, you have to prepare for these kinds of things! But just how bad were the wait times during this hectic week? Let’s find out!

Disney World is a WHIRLWIND of excitement all the time, but especially now. The holiday season is well underway, and we’re all looking forward to 2024, when some of our beloved park perks will return to Disney World. Yep, we’re talking all-day park hopping, the return of the Disney Dining Plan, and the removal of park reservation requirements for most visitors. With all the hullabaloo, it’s possible that you’ve forgotten about another exciting thing set to debut at Disney World soon.Â

HIGH wait times! Hollywood Studios is jam-packed with exciting and popular attractions with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and thrill rides at the end of Sunset Boulevard. We see some of the longest wait times in ALL of Disney World at this park frequently. Slinky Dog Dash, the adorable coaster in Toy Story Land, has held the top spot when it comes to average wait times for a while…but now there’s a new winner!

Pirates of the Caribbean
Yep, Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom is one of the attractions that is considered to be an OG — with this attraction popping up just two years after the official opening of the park in 1971, and six years after the attraction arrived to Disneyland. Well, on December 15th, Disney World’s Pirates of the Caribbean attraction reached a HUGE milestone.Â
