MagicBands have had their moment — or have they???

These little wearable pieces of tech can put all of Disney World at your fingertips. A MagicBand (or MagicBand+) can act as your park ticket, room key, credit card, Lightning Lane pass, and more. They’ve gone through a few updates here and there, and while the initial hype has died down, they’re still incredibly popular among fans — but not all of them.
Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with a whole lot of perks. In January 2024, “Good-to-Go” days were introduced for Disney World Annual Passholders!

These are dates when Passholders DO NOT need a Disney Park Park reservation to enter ANY of the four Disney World theme parks. Overall, Good-to-Go days have been pretty well received, but we recently noticed a new problem that’s suddenly plaguing Disney World Annual Passholders when it comes to this perk!

As I’m sure you remember, earlier this year we saw both Disney World and Disneyland do away with the Genie+ skip-the-line system and introduce Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass. But like I was saying, just when we really got the hang of this new system, Disney went ahead and introduced a whole new pass — Lightning Lane Premier Pass. After we recovered from the shock, we had a moment to check out the details and that’s when we noticed that this brand-new pass isn’t even out yet and there’s already one big problem with it!
In case you haven’t heard, there’s a NEW Lightning Lane option coming to Disney World.

Disney World JUST changed its system from Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multi Pass earlier this year. But now, they’re getting ready to test a new offering made specifically for the people who hate the booking process or being on their phones — Lightning Lane Premier Pass. However, even though Lightning Lane Premier Pass sounds like a good concept for those “go with the flow” folks, the pricetag has already been making headlines and shocking people on social media. So we reached out to our readers to hear their thoughts!
