Character dining has returned to Disneyland Resort!

We’ve already had a chance to enjoy the return of characters to breakfast at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian, and we’re looking forward to the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa!
After Disneyland reopened, not everything reopened with it. This includes many restaurants at the resort.

But we’re starting to get reopening dates for those restaurants, including dates when reservations will first open up for those spots, too. And TODAY is a big day for dining reservations.

A brand new annual pass program was just announced called Magic Key, masks are required indoors again, and restaurants like Carthay Circle and Golden Horseshoe have reopened! And now, we have reopening dates for several other Disneyland restaurants for you to look forward to!
Things are constantly changing at the Disney parks around the world. Since Disneyland reopened in California in late April, things at the resort have changed a LOT!

Hotels have reopened, more restaurants have become available for guests to enjoy, and a brand new land (Avengers Campus) has even opened! And while fans have been able to say hello to Mickey and other Disney friends from a distance, one big thing has been missing from Disneyland…character dining. But soon, that’s going to change!
Disneyland has plenty of great eats across its restaurants and snack stands.

Prior to the parks’ reopening, Disney shared a full list of restaurants that would be returning. Among those restaurants was Plaza Inn! But, it seems that its menu has had some serious losses.

We’ve been keeping track of all of the attractions, restaurants, and Resort hotels that will reopen along with the parks (and happily lining up tickets and required Theme Park Pass Reservations, too)! Of course, we’re not the only ones getting ready 😉 . Mark your calendars — Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will reopen to guests on April 30th, 2021! Over a year after the park closures began, we’ll finally be able to once again ride our favorite rides, wave to our favorite characters, and eat our favorite dishes!

In addition to all of the Dole Whip and Corn Dogs we’re going to eat when the parks reopen, we’re also looking forward to revisiting some of our favorite restaurants!
A few weeks ago, the state of California released its theme park reopening guidelines, and according to people close to Disneyland, the guidelines will keep Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure “shuttered for the foreseeable future.”

EXCEPT…the parks aren’t going to stay totally, completely 100% closed. Not too long ago, Disney announced that Buena Vista Street inside Disney California Adventure will open up for dining and shopping. So, what does this actually mean for Disneyland??
There is a lot of food that West Coast Disney fans would LOVE to see come to Disneyland (can the West Coast just borrow Epcot for like, a week please?).

But Disney World foodies, be prepared to have some major FOMO when you take a look at some of the incredible food Disneyland has to offer! Both West Coast parks have some pretty spectacular food items that Disney World could only DREAM of serving up.
