As Walt Disney World has gradually reopened, so have some of the restaurants in the parks and resorts!

Although there have been some adjustments to ensure social distancing and other safety measures are carried out, spots like California Grill and Biergarten Restaurant have reopened with some delicious items for guests to enjoy. Now, we’ve gotten word that a LOUNGE at one of the Disney resorts may be reopening soon and we’re incredibly excited!
There are a few signature dishes at Captain Cooks in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that are worth a trip on the monorail to enjoy. In the morning, it’s all about the Tonga Toast, but in the afternoon, the pulled pork nachos are what we’re after!

On our visit to the Polynesian today, we swung by Captain Cooks and FREAKED when we noticed that we could order the pulled pork nachos once again!
When people come up with their absolute “must do” activities at Disney World, most travelers think of things like riding Space Mountain, watching the fireworks, and enjoying a delicious Dole Whip.

With Disney World set to reopen its Disney Vacation Club Resorts on June 22, along with Disney’s Fort Wilderness, we’re ready to head back to some of our favorite hotels on property and catch up on EVERYTHING we’ve missed since March!

But not so fast! While we were perusing which restaurants will open on June 22, we noticed there were SEVERAL dining experiences missing from those lists that made our jaws hit the floor! Here are six restaurants that we are SHOCKED to find will not be a part of their resorts’ initial reopenings.
If meeting characters in Disney World is a priority for your family, we highly recommend you consider booking at least one character dining experience. The main benefit of character dining is pretty significant: you don’t have to wait in long lines to meet multiple characters.

And if you want to meet the Big Cheese — Mickey Mouse himself — during your meal, you have a few great options both in the parks and at the resorts. He even has a different outfit at each of the character dining restaurants, so he’ll always have a unique look no matter which restaurant you pick! But how do you choose WHICH character meal to book? And since we’re looking to feed our whole crew, we’re heading back to ‘Ohana to fill up with their all-you-care-to-eat dinner. Our past few trips have varied wildly food-wise, even though the atmosphere is consistently spot-on. So we’re back to give the entrees another shot and find out if this restaurant is worth adding to your must do Walt Disney World list (and because you KNOW we can’t resist their bread pudding!).
