Yes, it’s August, but the Halloween decorations have arrived in Magic Kingdom, the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has happened, and Halloween snacks have hit the parks! So that officially makes it spooky season, right? While we’ve been busy enjoying all the Halloween festivities, we’ve also popped into the Disney World hotels to see what’s new!Â

So who’s celebrating 626 Day? In case you don’t know about 626 day, it’s the day we celebrate Experiment 626, aka Stitch — June 26th!

Okay, we don’t really need a reason to celebrate Stitch because he’s lovable year-round! We’re celebrating by reflecting on the wild history of Stitch in Disney World, checking out a new Harveys Stitch collection, and eating some Stitch-inspired snacks (yes, that means MORE BLUE FOOD, y’all). So we’re picking up a Stitch snack that got an upgrade from last year!

We’re watching construction progress in Magic Kingdom on the TRON coaster, in EPCOT for the park transformation, and at multiple Disney World hotels for updates coming soon. And today, we’ve got a BIG construction update from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
Okay, so although the new Star Wars hotel at Disney World, the Galactic Starcruiser, is an incredibly immersive and fun experience, we admit we had to pick our jaws up from the ground when we heard about the pricing.

So we’re looking at the price for 2 guests per cabin on the Galactic Starcruiser. That price is a whopping $4,809 for the whole voyage — which is just two nights.
It’s getting into the summer months of 2022, which means a LOT of people are gearing up for their Disney World vacations! If you’re among the crowds who will be flocking to the parks this summer, we’re here to help you out with all kinds of packing hacks, planning tips, and updates on the latest news.
Where magic becomes real
Before you go, be sure you know what’s NOT going to be open in the theme parks.
