We’re in sunny Hollywood Studios today and we’re feeling glamorous.

But, here’s the thing. We’ve run into an issue — the droid we’re looking for is GONE. You might remember that the BB-8 Sipper missing the last time we swung by the popcorn carts. Now this adorable souvenir has been removed from the menu completely!

Of course, LOTS of stuff is different about a reopened Hollywood Studios, but today we mostly found some neat merchandise. It’s Star Wars everything at Disneyland Park these days with Galaxy’s Edge set to open in just a few weeks, but if you’re in the park this weekend — May 4-5 — you’re in for a treat! Yup, Disney popcorn is a thing all over the world — and we love a unique popcorn flavor! Thankfully, so does Heather, so she was all over this brand new flavor! FYI: Tokyo Disney also has cute popcorn carts. 😉
Between decorating the park, kicking off Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and introducing a bunch of treats and sweets the Magic Kingdom found a way to do even more updates! We collected all the menu updates, merchandise introductions, refurbishment projects progress, and even more holiday eats right here for you!

That’s a view that we could look at all day! Cinderella Castle, Fireworks, and Characters! Even Mickey is there — before his big day this weekend when he turns 90!
We have a few updates from both coasts for this round of “What’s New!” And we promise that none of these are April Fool’s jokes. 😀
Starting on the east coast, a recent trip around Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Monorail Loop has revealed a few changes in eats and treats. We’re talking property refurbishments, menu updates, tea, and cupcakes, so hop on board the Monorail (“Your Highway in the Sky!”) and see What’s New!

We’ll start our Monorail trip at Magic Kingdom. You may be aware that the Hub (the circular area directly in front of Cinderella Castle) has begun a major refurbishment. This project is slated to run in stages finishing sometime in 2015, with the purpose of accommodating more guests for fireworks and parade viewing, with the added benefit of relieving some of the post-show gridlock thanks to additional walkways.
Though much is covered by refurbishment walls, you can see in these photos where the water that flows towards and around Cinderella Castle has been drained for now to accommodate the construction.

Soooo… what does this have to do with food? The restaurants in the immediate area are still in operation. The beloved Main Street Popcorn Cart is, too; however, it’s now located on the bridge which connects the Hub to Adventureland.

Still an easy spot to grab some popcorn before the new Festival of Fantasy Parade!

Though the majority of the refurbishment to add expanded seating to Casey’s Corner is complete, we’re still noticing some small changes here and there.
The wall in the back room, which formerly housed a large-screen TV featuring vintage Disney sports-focused cartoons, was empty in the immediate weeks after the reopening. Now returning are the large pieces of artwork depicting turn-of-the-century images of America’s Favorite Pastime.
