We love visiting Disney World’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort for SOOO many reasons! It has gorgeously-stunning grounds, a bunch of statue alligators playing instruments in its main courtyard, and of course, the unfettered access to ALL THINGS Mickey Beignets!
And while Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory has been THE only place where you could snag these delicious pillowy pieces of fried dough topped with copious amounts of powdered sugar on Disney World’s property, we’re here to tell ya that they’re no longer on Sassagoula’s MENU!

And after seeing the photos they just revealed today of the fresh new space, we’re wondering if we should be packing our bags for a Disney cruise instead of heading for a stay at Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort!
We were at Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort early yesterday morning when the NEW Scat Cat’s Club — Cafe debuted (we’re talkin’ Mickey Beignets for days here, people!) — and just in case you didn’t set your alarm, you can read about our experience earlier in the day here!

And now we’re back at Port Orleans for another round of the BIG EASY, because guess what! The NEW Scat Cat’s Lounge is now finally OPEN!
Do you…feel a little bit different this morning? Maybe like the sun is a little brighter or the birds are singing a bit more sweetly? Do you think it’s maybe because THERE ARE MORE MICKEY BEIGNETS IN THE WORLD?!?

Yep, early this morning we were present at a special ribbon-cutting for the NEW Scat Cat’s Cafe grand opening at Disney World’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort…and it was 100% worth the early alarm clock, my friends, because we have MORE Mickey Beignets to share with you! Let’s go!
It looks like we’ll have even more places to grab some delicious beignets from Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter VERY SOON.

In case you missed it, we recently chatted about Disney World’s plans to not only expand Scat Cat’s Club but also to introduce a new dining location in the New Orleans-themed resort, called Scat Cat’s Club — Café. And now, it looks like the new and expanded locations will each open tomorrow!
