A lot of construction projects ended recently, as Disney World opened a new restaurant, welcomed a brand-new attraction, and unveiled updated rooms at a popular hotel.

In case you haven’t heard, Disney World turned 50 on October 1st, which means lots of celebrations throughout the next year and a half. But on top of that, there are reopenings, grand openings, and annual events going on as well, so there’s quite a bit you need to know if you plan on visiting. Reservations for these spots are also already open. Guests staying at Disney World’s resort hotels and Annual Passholders sometimes have the ability to buy some MagicBand designs early or at a special discount. As the name so helpfully implies, the Moderate Resorts in Walt Disney World represent the mid-range resorts that cost a little more than the Value Resorts but also cost a little less than the pricey Deluxe resorts. We asked you, our readers, how your rated Disney World’s moderate hotels! Interestingly, unlike the deluxe resorts, these results seemed a little more positive overall!

We can’t even fathom everything that’s happened since last year — 2020 was a crazy year to say the least! Disney World closed and reopened. And we watched as health and safety guidelines went from being prominent at the parks to being phased out.

Yep, with favorites like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge reopening soon, there were only a few hotels that still didn’t have reopening dates — until yesterday, that is! Disney announced the reopening dates for Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
