Even though we visit Disney World every day, it doesn’t stop us from learning new things or messing up our own vacations from time to time. And recently, one member of our team had a bizarre breakfast experience that we wanted to share with you — that way you know how to proceed!
As part of my job, I spend a lot of time alone in Disney World restaurants, including character meals!
Magic Kingdom
Character meals can be pretty challenging to review, because there’s a lot of content to capture (especially if they’re buffet meals!), but they’re generally a lot of fun. They’ve even made me a lot better at interacting with characters! However, what happens when the characters don’t actually show up? That happened to me recently and it was a WILD ride.
For many, a stay at a Disney World deluxe resort is the ultimate dream vacation, but is it perfect?

We’ll be the first to tell you that these hotels boast stunning theming, luxurious amenities, and their locations are just prime, but is it all sunshine and rainbows? As much as we love staying on Disney property, the experience isn’t perfect!

Since Disney opened up their first true hotels with Walt Disney World’s Contemporary and Polynesian Village in 1971 — The Disneyland Hotel does technically predate them, but has a twisting backstory that involves not being owned by Disney until the mid-1980s — staying on Disney property has become an integral part of Disney vacation experience for millions at each of the company’s resorts around the world. Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with plenty of perks that make it all worth it!
Disney World Annual Pass
You get access to the theme parks, free parking, exclusive events, merchandise, discounts, and oh yeah — FREE souvenirs. Chances are you’ve seen a Disney World Annual Passholder magnet when you’ve been on the road or maybe you even have one on your own car. And, while I love collecting these little freebies, I need to warn you about a PROBLEM you’re not expecting.
We visit Disney World every day, and it feels like we’ve experienced nearly every possible theme park problem known to man!
Magic Kingdom
We’ve been stuck on rides, lost possessions, seen fireworks shows rained out, been injured, gotten sick, and so much more. But through it all, we’ve endured! And sometimes, those unexpected issues in the park are a little bit out of our control. We had one of those problems when heading to Magic Kingdom today!
Disney World is certainly a magical place, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hit some bumps in the road at times!
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Rides can go down unexpectedly, shows can get canceled or delayed due to weather issues or other problems, and more unexpected problems can arise. But we have to admit that what happened on a recent visit might be the BEST issue we’ve ever seen happen in Disney World.
