Hola amigos!
As you may know, we here at DFB love the eats and drinks in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion. From celebrity-crafted cocktails at La Cava del Tequila to the street corn at Choza de Margarita, it’s one of our favorite places for a snack and drink. But recently, we found ourselves in need of more than a light bite — so we decided to visit an old favorite: La Cantina de San Angel!

Hold your horses, cowpokes!
Because we’ve got a tasty new combo to show you courtesy of Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Here’s the deal: you may already know (and love!) the Corn Dog Nuggets made famous in the Magic Kingdom thanks to Casey’s Corner. And now that PLASTIC CHEESE has returned to the beloved hot dog haven, you can dip those Nuggets right on into what I consider the World’s Best Condiment.
Plastic Cheese used to be available at Pecos Bill’s, too, when it was the Magic Kingdom’s most popular burger joint. But a few years ago this Counter Service spot switched to Mexican and Southwest-style fare, and the Pecos Bill’s Fixin’s Bar followed suit. (Plus Plastic Cheese had likewise been removed from Counter Service restaurants all over Disney World, anyhoo.)
But things are looking up with regard to CHEESE at Pecos Bill’s, because Queso Blanco has hit the scene! And we couldn’t help but immediately pair it up with a certain item on the Kids’ Menu, so we can now proudly present to you: Corn Dog Nuggets and Queso Blanco!
I’m a huge fan of queso blanco, and when it originally showed up on the menu at Pecos Bill’s, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, it was lackluster, to say the least. Prepackaged. Lukewarm. Just… blah. [Read more…]

We’re back with another DFB Video today, and we’re heading to EPCOT —
where there are millions of amazing Disney dishes and snacks.
Well, maybe not millions. But there are lots. And when there’s this much edible and drinkable awesomeness in one place, it can be challenging to decide what you should eat. So we’re here to help!
Even though there are some great choices all over Walt Disney World’s resorts and in all four parks, Epcot represents amazing diversity — in part due to the countries of World Showcase. I mean, with classics like Norway’s Schoolbread, all the yum in Karamell-Küche, and Grown Up Slushes in France, where in the world do you start?? [Read more…]
We have some news at the Magic Kingdom! No, our beloved plastic cheese isn’t back, but there is a new melty, cheesy goodness available at Pecos Bill’s!
If you’re not familiar, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is like a magical Chipotle serving fajitas, burritos, and rice bowls with a pretty extensive toppings bar in Frontierland. We also give it high marks for the delicious mini churros with a side of chocolate sauce!
It’s located right at the corner of Adventureland and Frontierland with a ton of indoor seating, so it’s a great place to relax and enjoy lunch — and maybe dry off after a trip through the Briar Patch at Splash Mountain!
We just shared our favorite Disney Pub Grub with you on Tuesday, and I thought it would be fun to check in with our DFB reader/photographers to see what they’re snapping these days!
It’s always so fun to flip through the fantastic photos that our members post on the Disney Food Blog Photo Extravaganza, our Flickr group. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, head over there! We think a virtual trip to Disney is a great way to take a break from your busy day. 🙂
Let’s take a trip to some of our favorite Disney watering holes today for our latest installment in our Disney Food Pics of the Week Series!
in Disney California Adventure is a great place to take a load off while you enjoy water views and a spot of shade. And while you quench your thirst with specialty cocktails or craft beers, you can also answer your hunger with some fancy apps, like Tri-Tip Sliders. Yum!

Who can resist ducking into Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Resort? This open airy lounge is a terrific spot to wait for your table at nearby ‘Ohana while you nurse a world-famous Lapu Lapu! It’s one of my favorite First Day Traditions.
And don’t forget — it’s just a monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom, so it’s a great place to relax with a basket of Breads and Dips with your island-inspired drinks.
