You may have to rethink your game plan for the day. Things are constantly changing in the Disney parks so prepare to be flexible, especially starting today, January 9th!

The holiday season is over, and the crowds start to dwindle a bit after the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is finished. The weather is chilly, the Festival of the Arts kicks off…oh, and there are LOTS of refurbishments! Typically this winter season is a good time for Disney to temporarily close and update attractions, but this January, they’re adding a transportation option to that list.

The Disney parks are constantly changing and evolving to add new attractions or restaurants like TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom and Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Many rides go under refurbishment throughout the year so that Disney can make sure that everything is in pristine condition for when guests ride. whether the closure is only for a few days or for a few months. Most of the time, ride refurbishments are quite short. But sometimes, they are quite lengthy, like the one happening with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.Â
