Sometimes, Disney World closes rides for refurbishment — and if you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you’ll want to know all about what you can and can’t do! So today, we’re bringing you our weekly refurbishment update for April 19th through 25th.
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are set to reopen on April 30th, and for the first time we’ll get a look at rides that we haven’t been on or seen for OVER a year!
Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday
One ride that will be reopening at Disneyland on April 30th is The Haunted Mansion. The ride closed for refurbishment in early 2020, but we really didn’t know TOO much about what those refurbishments would include. Now, we’ve got photos, videos, and more information revealing just what’s changed at the Mansion! A new (but also old) portrait? New landscaping? And even new wallpaper? Check out what the ghosts have been up to!!
If Disney’s going for the Guinness World Record for most construction going on at one time, well, let’s just say we’d put them in the running!
Construction is Going on at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Now!
Right now, there’s construction going on at EPCOT as part of that park’s transformation, work being done on the TRON coaster in Magic Kingdom, new decorations being added to Cinderella Castle, lots of construction happening over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and MORE!! Construction has also now begun at Disney’s Contemporary Resort as select guest rooms at the hotel get some refurbishment and the inside of the hotel is looking…interesting.Â

It’s going to be a great month!
We’re a third of the way into 2021 and so far, things have been going great for Disney World. We’ve received a lot of big announcements this year, and we know that there are probably more to come in the future as the parks rebound from the pandemic. And if you’re traveling to Walt Disney World this month, there are a few things you need to know before your trip…so we put together a little list!
In the last year, we’ve seen a lot of “sprucing up” going on around the Walt Disney World parks, but especially in Magic Kingdom!
Cinderella Castle getting work done for the 50th Anniversary.
Cinderella Castle got a new paint job and now she’s getting additional decorations for the 50th Anniversary. We also noticed repainting happening at the parking entrance for the TTC and several classic attractions are getting golden touch-ups. Today, we spotted another place in the park where there’s some painting going on, and we took some photos to share with you!

At Disney’s Shareholders Meeting, we learned that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie would BOTH be opening in EPCOT’s newly expanded France Pavilion on October 1st, 2021.
