Okay, hear us out: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is SO underrated. It’s one of the cheapest hotels on Disney World property, and the theming is generally ON POINT.

Sure, it’s not like you’re staying at the Grand Floridian, but it’s comfortable enough if if you plan to mostly just sleep in your room and spend most of your time in the parks. Plus you get transportation (although it is JUST buses) to the Disney Parks, Early Theme Park Entry, and you get to stay within the “Disney bubble.” However, as a value resort, we still think there are some things at All-Star Movies that just haven’t aged well.

It’s almost a destination in and of itself. However, it’s just 15 minutes from Disney World, meaning it could be a great option for your next Disney World trip. Disney World is referred to as the “most magical place on earth” and for better or for worse, lots and lots of people have caught onto this idea.

When I Was at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort This Weekend, I Got Lost 7 Times

Are we Disney World pros? Yes, we are! Do we still make mistakes in Disney World? Well, to quote The Good Place, “Pobody’s Nerfect.”

For example, we still trip over the trolley tracks in Magic Kingdom although we’ve walked down Main Street, U.S.A. MILLIONS of times. We also still occasionally forget to bring our rain gear to the park, even on days when we KNOW it’s going to rain. Yes, we even occasionally still wear shoes that we think could be a bad idea (and they usually are) and have achy feet at the end of the day. In other words, we’re human. So we have a story to share with you about us getting lost at a Disney hotel.

I mean, when you’re on the Skyliner you’re soaring high above the crowds, waving “bye bye” bus lines, and traveling “oh so conveniently” between many of the Disney World Resort hotels and the parks. Is Skyliner Transportation Really Worth Spending More of Your Hotel Budget For?

When it comes to choosing a hotel for your Disney World trip, you have a lot of things to consider.

First, there’s a budget to think about. Will you be staying in a value, moderate, or deluxe resort? If you’re on a tight budget, you might be leaning more towards a value resort, which means you can stay at one of the three All-Star Resorts or Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The latter two can be more expensive, though, because they have something the All-Star Resorts don’t: direct access to the Skyliner. But is it worth spending more money on those hotels just for the Skyliner?
