The Disney Treasure — the latest ship in the Disney Cruise Line’s seemingly ever-expanding fleet is almost ready for its maiden voyage! This week, Disney gave us a SNEAK PEEK at the new ship during a media preview in New York City!
It’s been a great week in Disney World, especially when it comes to food.
Mostly, we’re just excited that we finally got the menus for the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, which starts on November 29th — and yes, we’ll be running around EPCOT all day eating EVERYTHING. We also tried some new menu items at Sci-Fi Dine In in Hollywood Studios. We also spent some time researching Disney World restaurant menus, and we’ve got some changes to tell you about.
Let’s just say we know food in Disney World, it’s why we’re here — to tell you about ALL the food in Disney World.
We also have certain foods that we will ALWAYS return to (just call it our comfort food), which includes savory dishes like Corn Dog Nuggets (we refuse to use Disney’s new “mini corn dogs” name because it’s BORING). We also love our snacks, including the many seasonal snacks Disney releases throughout the year (and some, like the Gingerbread Salted Caramel Cookie Sandwich should be available year-round…ahem.). But now we’re going to talk about appetizers. Now we LOVE a good appetizer, but we’re going to share the BEST appetizers, according to the DFB team.
Okay, so there is a LOT of new stuff coming to Disney World, and we’re honestly having a time keeping up with EVERYTHING.
We’re getting a new expansion and land in Magic Kingdom. We’re getting a new land and a new show in Hollywood Studios. We’re getting a new land in Animal Kingdom. EPCOT is getting an updated ride. IT IS SO MUCH. However, something else that’s new that’s coming SOON is the Polynesian Village Resort’s new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tower, Island Tower. Island Tower will feature a new restaurant, Wailulu Bar & Grill, and now we’ve got another look inside that dining spot.
If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Resort, you might have a hard time deciding where to eat.
The parks, hotels, and Downtown Disney are home to dozens of restaurants with different themes and cuisines, and it can be a challenge to choose which one will best suit your group. Over the years, we’ve tried them all, and we definitely have our favorites…but soon there will be NEW additions to check out!
There’s a lot coming to Disney World in 2025!
We’ve got construction beginning on the Villains land and Cars-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom, construction on a Monsters Inc. land beginning in Hollywood Studios, an updated Test Track ride with a new theme coming to EPCOT, and construction begins to turn DinoLand U.S.A. into Tropical Americas. And that’s not even all of it! There is an interesting trend though that we’re noticing with some of these announcements — why have no restaurants been announced but two new lounges are on their way?
There’s a NEW restaurant in Disney World!
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers recently opened at Disney’s BoardWalk, and it originally made waves with its high prices. But after some trial meals and lowering the prices on the menu, they finally had a grand opening, and we got to stop by to try several of the items on the menu. Even though we had a few meals there, we were waiting for one special offering that the restaurant promised…and now it’s coming soon!
Happy Holidays from DFB. The holiday season is officially in FULL swing at Disney World now that the holiday decorations are up, the hotel gingerbread displays are ready, and the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom has happened.
We’ve been busy checking out all the holiday snacks around Disney World, too. BUT we’re doing our weekly thing where we take a look at Disney World restaurant menus to see what’s changed — and we’ve got some updates to share with you this week.
Well, Halloween is officially over and we’re gearing up for the rest of the fall season in Disney World.
Who are we kidding? It’s Christmas in Magic Kingdom already! But that doesn’t mean we’ll be overlooking other holidays because yes, Thanksgiving is still a very popular time to visit Disney World. If you’ve got plans to visit Disney World on Thanksgiving, though, we’ve got some great news: you have lots of dining spots where you can grab Thanksgiving dinner.
Happy holidays, DFB friends! Yep, it’s officially the holiday season in Disney World and we’re ready to eat all the holiday snacks and go to the first Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
It’s been quite a week in Disney World. We just got word that NEW gingerbread displays are coming to Disney World this holiday season (we can’t wait!). We got details on a fun Diwali fest that’s coming to Disney Springs. Holiday decorations have officially appeared in Magic Kingdom (cue Mariah Carey). However, we’ve also seen some Disney World restaurant menus change, and that’s what we want to tell you about.
