There’s been a lot of hustle and bustle in Disney World for the holidays this week!

As guests visit Disney World to ring in the New Year, construction projects are still underway and we’ve been keeping up with their progress. Not a whole lot has changed over the past week, but here’s a glimpse at what we’ve seen!
Between the Disney parks closing, reopening, and decking out for the holidays early, we’ve seen a lot this past year.

When we were making our list of must-see’s in 2020, there’s a lot that we just couldn’t have imagined. So, we’ve gone through our photo library and found 12 photos that your 2019 self probably wouldn’t have imagined capturing at Disney World.
UPDATE: The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover closure has been extended until January 30th, 2021.

Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland
This month is bringing all sorts of updates to the theme parks. Park Hopping is making a comeback (in a totally new way) and the policies for free MagicBands and luggage tags are changing. As always, we want to keep you informed on all the major updates and how they might affect your trip. Those of you visiting Disney World next week will want to prepare by knowing what attractions are closed for refurbishment ahead of time. We got a look at the brand-new, just revealed EPCOT fountain AND we FINALLY got our hands on those mega-delicious (and mega LARGE) cookies from the just-opened Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs! Those weren’t the only changes we noticed this week and we’re here to tell you about ALL of them!

Those of you traveling during Christmas week will want to stay extra flexible. Crowds can get heavy around the holidays and you’ll want to prepare for long lines! It’s also good practice to keep informed on scheduled attraction closures when you’re traveling to Disney World. That way, you’re not totally disappointed if you suddenly find out your favorite ride is closed.
