Disney makes a lot of announcements – – take it from us, keep track of them all – – but some are much larger than – – with much wider-reaching effects. This past month, Disney released a double-doozy of an announcement that promises to change the face of one of Disney World’s theme parks forever!
Here’s a little secret you might not know about us: we LOVE the Muppets.

No, seriously, we’re very passionate about the Muppets, and you’d be surprised at how many times we chat about them when we get the chance. So you can understand that like many other Disney World fans, we’re a little sad to say goodbye to Muppets Courtyard and Muppet*Vision 3D, which will be going away to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios. But we ARE getting a Muppets-themed version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and let’s just say the DFB team…well, we have ideas about it!
Disney shocked a LOT of fans this past week with the announcement that their new Monsters, Inc. Land would take over Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Many guests have mixed feelings about the change, because not only did Disney announce that Muppets Courtyard would be going away, but they confirmed that the Muppets wouldn’t be leaving the park — they’re being transferred to a new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster retheme! But what can we really expect from this retheme? Let’s dive into what we know so far.

That’s right, we’ll soon be saying goodbye to Muppet*Vision 3D and all of Muppets Courtyard as the area gets replaced with a Monsters, Inc.-themed land. As a consolation, Disney will be replacing Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with a Muppets coaster. But even with that change, the loss of Muppet*Vision is pretty controversial — and fans have a lot of questions and concerns!
There are plenty of changes going on at Disney World right now — and we’re pretty darn excited about them!

It’s during the winter months that Disney will often close pools for refurbishment since there aren’t nearly as many people swimming when the temperatures are cooler. As we’re getting into the last months of the year, we’re starting to see hotel pools close, including one that will be closed until late December.

OK, Disney fans. We’ve got good news and bad news. Which do ya want first?

If you want the bad news, you can skip to the end. But before you do, we highly encourage you to hear us out first. Disney just dropped some major news about the future of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and some big areas of the park are going to look different. Here’s what’s changing.
Back at D23, Disney announced that an official Monsters, Inc. themed land would be coming to Hollywood Studios. Well, we officially got confirmation on where this new land will be going, but we also got some news we weren’t expecting AT ALL!

The new Monsters, Inc. land will be taking over the Muppets area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, BUT this isn’t the end of The Muppets in Hollywood Studios. In fact, The Muppets are being moved elsewhere in Hollywood Studios.
Another Disney World attraction will be temporarily closing SOON!
