Disney World has updated its closures for Hurricane Milton!

Disney World has already begun a phased closing of its theme parks today, October 9th, with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs closing at 2PM. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom both closed at 1PM.
Universal Orlando Resort has just announced adjustments to their operations due to Hurricane Milton.Â

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on the west coast of Florida early Thursday morning; however, the storm will be bringing severe weather prior to landfall. Forecasters anticipate heavy rain and strong winds for much of Central Florida.
Hurricane Milton is getting closer to Florida. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is currently predicting the hurricane to make landfall early Thursday morning, but wind and rain is expected to arrive ahead of its landfall.

The NHC is expecting heavy rainfall and the potential for hurricane-force winds in the Central Florida and Disney World area. Disney World just provided an update about their change and cancelation fees.
A State of Emergency was just declared by Governor Ron DeSantis as Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is predicted to gain strength quickly and head towards Florida.

The State of Emergency lists 41 counties in Florida as the state prepares for the threat of severe weather later this week.
