What’s NEW at Disney’s Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs Resorts?
A lot of construction! Both resorts are seeing lots of new additions from the Skyliner System to BRAND NEW resorts. Caribbean Beach, of course, is adjacent to the new Riviera Resort and with that proximity comes a lot of action!
While the Riviera Resort isn’t a part of Caribbean Beach Resort, guests are still feeling the impact of it’s construction. Just how much will this construction affect your visit? Read on to find out!
It’s been a big news day for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge as the opening dates were released at the Walt Disney Company’s shareholders’ meeting earlier — but Galaxy’s Edge isn’t the only big development happening at Walt Disney World later this year. We’re talking, of course, about Disney’s Skyliner. And we’ve got a FIRST LOOK at unwrapped Skyliner gondolas on the track!
Just over a week ago we reported on testing of the Skyliner transportation system (click here to see more about the full-speed test!!), but at that time the vehicles themselves were still under wraps, clad in white to obscure details about the design.
Now we see the gondola vehicle in bright yellow with what appears to be white detailing and a logo. We’re also getting a better look at the windows and what appear to be vents along the top of the gondola.
From this close-up view, these vents appear to be cantilevered, but we don’t have any specifics. From what we know this is the only “air conditioning” currently. [Read more…]

Disney World’s newest transportation option, the Disney Skyliner System, has been testing gondolas on the lines over the past couple of weeks. Now, it looks like they are testing the system at full capacity and speed near the Hollywood Studios Skyliner Station.
Those are actual gondolas, not the test gondolas we first saw at the beginning of the month. We can even see some of the artwork on the gondolas through the tarps.
As Epcot enters into the closing week of the Festival of the Arts (you have until February 25 to enjoy this Festival), they are already getting ready for the upcoming Flower and Garden Festival with some special landscaping!
One of the most popular pieces of landscaping for the Flower and Garden Festival is taking shape around the lakes between Future World and the World Showcase!
